구리지부(지부장:문혜림)는 5월 5일 구리시에서 주최하는 어버이날 행사에 여성단체협의회 회원으로서 참가하여 독거노인 어르신들에게 ‘카네이션 달아드리기’행사에 참석하였다. 또한 5월 7일 월례회의에서는 지금까지 수고해주신 채미호 지부장이 이임하고 새롭게 문혜림 지부장이 취임을 하였다. 2부에서는 특성화사업 개강식으로 ‘통일시대를 준비하는 가정의 모습’ 라는 제목으로 조한복 강사의 특강이 있었다. 이날 참석한 회원들은 통일을 준비하는 자세가 중요하다는 중요성을 가지게 되었다

의정부지부(지부장:임현순)는 의정부시 봉사회관에서 열림 ‘홀몸 노인 사랑의 계절김치 담가드리기’ 행사에 여성연합을 대표한 회원 3명이 참석하여 소외된 이웃에게 계절김치를 담그는 자원봉사활동에 함께 했다.

양주지부(지부장:이은자)는 4월 13일 양주시 백섭읍 오산리 마을에서 동내 주민들 15명과 회원 7명이 함께 꽃 심기 봉사활동을 하였다. 동네 어르신들은 우리를 반가워 맞이해주시고 함께 일하는 것을 통해 여성연합의 활동을 알릴 수 있었다.

덕양지부(지부장:윤순림)는 5월 17일에는 덕은동 노인회관에서 해피헬스, 마사지 봉사를 실시하였다. 회원들은 해피헬스와 마사지 봉사를 하며 나의 부모를 사랑하는 마음으로 봉사로 하고 있다. 매월 봉사를 통해 어르신들과의 마음의 관계가 돈독해지면서 여성연합의 회원들이 오기를 기다려주는 분들이 많아지고 있다. 또한 5월 26일에는 성사2동 노인회관 해피헬스 봉사와 배꼽 안북마사지와 해피헬스 봉사를 했다.

동두천지부(지부장:마쯔다 가즈꼬)는 5월 7일과 21일에 생연 2동 노인정 청소 봉사를 하였으며 5월 2일, 9일, 16일, 23일에는 동두천시 장애인 종합복지관에서 배식 봉사활동을 전개하였다.

Activities of the North Gyeonggi Branch

The Guri Branch (Branch Leader: Hye Rim Moon) attended the ‘Parents’ Day Event’hosted by Guri City on May 5 as a member of the Korean National Council of Women, where the branch members took part in the ‘Presentation Ceremony of Carnations’ to senior citizens living alone. And in the monthly meeting held on May 7, Branch Leader Mi Ho Chae, who has worked diligently until now, stepped down, and Branch Leader Hye Rim Moon was inaugurated. In Part II of the meeting, they held the opening ceremony of the Branch-Specialized Project, which was a special lecture given by Lecturer Han Bok Cho titled "Families Preparing for the Era of Unification". The members who attended the meeting learned about the importance of adopting an attitude of preparing for unification.

The Euijeongbu Branch (Branch Leader: Hyeon Soon Yim) took part in the ‘Seasonal Kimchi-Making Eventof Love for Senior Citizens Living Alone’ held at the Service Center of Euijeongbu City. Three members participated as representatives of the WFWP in the volunteer work of making seasonal kimchi for marginalized neighbors.

Seven members of the Yangju Branch (Branch Leader: Eun Ja Lee) took part in the flower-planting volunteer event together with fifteen local residents at Osan-ri Village, Baekseop-eup, Yangju, on April 13. The elderly village residents welcomed the members, and while working together with them, the members also introduced the activities of the WFWP to them.

The Deokyang Branch (Branch Leader: Soon Rim Yoon) carried out a Happy Health treatment and massage service at the Deokeun-dong Elders’ Hall on May 17. The members are performing a Happy Health treatment and massage service with a loving heart, thinking of the elderly as their own parents. Through their monthly volunteer work, they have built a close relationship with the senior citizens, and the number of people who await the coming of the WFWP members is increasing day after day. In addition, on May 26 they also performed a Happy Health treatment and gave Navel An Bok massages at the Seongsa-2-dong Senior Citizens’ Center.

The Dongducheon Branch (Branch Leader: Kazuko Mazda) carried out a cleaning service on May 7 and 21 at the Saengyeon-2-dong Senior Center, and on May 2, 9, 16 and 23 they held a soup kitchen at the Dongducheon General Welfare Center for the Disabled.
