경주시지부(지부장:김영화)는 12월 22일 동지날에 김영화 지부장과 회원 5명이 경주시 중부동 경로당을 방문해서 어르신들을 위해 행복교실 ‘치매예방 레크레이션과 민요부르기’를 열었다. 3월 15일에는 경주시 주관으로 황성공원에서 열린 ‘경주시민 사랑 나눔 벼룩장터’에서 ‘지구사랑1%운동’ 바자회를 열었다. 지난번에 바자회에서 인기가 좋았던 ‘천일국 김밥’을 판매하였으며 의류판매 부스에서는 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 전단지를 전하며 홍보를 하였다. 시장님은 매번 여성연합 부스에 한참을 머무르며 특히 다문화 자녀들의 대한 남다른 관심을 갖고 있다며 여성연합 회원들을 격려를 해주셨다. 각 동내 동장, 이장 등 지도자분들과 자연스럽게 만나서 대화를 나누며 여성연합을 알리는 좋은 장터가 되었다.

봉화군지부(지부장:이가랑)는 3월 9일 의류, 가방, 신발, 책, 밀가루, 식용유 등을 모아 지부강당에서 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 바자회를 가졌다. 저렴한 가격에 좋은 물건을 얻는 기회여서 지역 주민들도 함께 하면서 분위기가 좋았으며 성과도 좋았다.

선산지부(지부장:박재희)는 2월 17일 선산터미널에서 환경미화 활동을 진행했다. 비가 오는 중에도 지부장과 회원자녀들이 함께 터미널 부근을 중심으로 거리 청소봉사를 했다. 비 때문에 청소 봉사가 쉽지는 않았지만 정화된 도로와 터미널 부근을 보고 참석한 학생들은 뿌듯해 했다. 선산지부는 매월 2, 4주 지역 환경미화 활동을 꾸준히 하기로 했다.

안동지부(지부장:이금자)는 3월 7일 다문화 회원을 중심으로 ‘참사랑 노래교실’을 열었다. 매주 노래를 배우며 회원간의 화합의 시간이 되고 있다.

영천지부(지부장:다카타사토미)는 2월 18 다문화가정 비즈공예 체험 교실을 열었다. 비즈공예 강사를 모시고 다문화가정 회원들은 예쁜 목걸이, 반지, 휴대폰걸이를 만들어보는 시간을 가졌다. 시골에서 바쁘게 농사일을 하는 회원들을 위해 겨울시간을 이용하여 몇 번 나눠서 할 예정입니다. 3월 9일 포항바다에서 ‘다문화가정 학생들을 위한 낚시체험행사’ 행사를 가졌다. 이날 초, 중학생 15명이 참석하여 낚시 체험시간을 가졌다. 대부분의 학생들이 처음으로 경험하는 낚시에 대하여 신기함과 호기심을 가졌다. 또한 아름답고 넓은 바다를 바라보면서 자연을 즐기고 배우는 시간이 되었다.                 

청송지부(지부장요시다 미찌요)는 겨울계절의 청송시장은 춥다. 지난 3월 4일 청송지부는 추운날에 시장에 오는 주민들에게 따뜻한 커피와 대추차를 드리면서 여성연합 활동인 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’을 홍보하는 시간을 가졌다.

The North Gyeongsang Branch

Branch Leader Yeong Hwa Kim and five members of the Gyeongju Branch (Branch Leader: Yeong Hwa Kim) visited the Joongbu-dong Senior Center in Gyeongju on December 22, which was the winter solstice, to hold a happiness class for the aged titled ‘Recreation and the Singing of  Folk  Songs to Prevent Dementia’. On March 15 they held a bazaar for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ at the ‘Gyeongju Residents Love Sharing Flea Market’ hosted by Gyeongju City at Hwangseong Park. They sold ‘Cheon Il Guk Gimbap (rice wrapped in laver)’, which had been very popular at their last bazaar, and at the booth that sold articles of clothing, they also handed out ‘1% Love Share Project’ leaflets to promote the project.. The mayor stayed for a long while at the WFWP booth whenever he visited it, and he encouraged the members of the WFWP, saying that he was particularly interested in the children of multicultural families. It was a good opportunity to meet naturally with the leaders of the different villages and townships and to converse with them and introduce the WFWP to them.

The Bonghwa-gun Branch (Branch Leader: Ga Rang Lee) collected articles of clothing, bags, shoes, books, flour, and cooking oil to hold a bazaar for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ at the Branch lecture hall on March 9. It provided a good opportunity for the local residents to obtain good products at low prices, and the atmosphere was delightful and the results were satisfactory.

The Seonsan Branch (Branch Leader: Jae Hee Park) carried out an environment improvement service on February 17 at the Seonsan Terminal. Even though it was raining, the branch leader and the children of members got together to clean up the streets in the vicinity of the Terminal. It was not easy to clean the streets because of the rain, but the participating students felt rewarded when they looked upon the cleaned streets and environs of the Terminal. The Seonsan Branch has decided to carry out an environment improvement service regularly, in every second and fourth week of every month.

The Andong Branch (Branch Leader: Geum Ja Lee) gave a ‘True Love Singing Class’on March 7, centering on members from multicultural families. The participants learn songs every week, and it is providing an opportunity for the members to harmonize with each other.

The Yeongcheon Branch (Branch Leader: Satomi Takada) held a ‘Beads Craft Experience Class’ for multicultural families on February 18. A teacher of beads craft was invited to teach the participating members from multicultural families how to make pretty necklaces, rings, and cell phone decorations. The Branch plans to hold the class several times more during the wintertime, for members who are busy working on their farms in the countryside. On March 9, the ‘Fishing Experience Event for Students from Multicultural Families’ was held at Pohang’s shore. On this day, fifteen elementary and middle school students took part in the event to experience fishing. Most students were fishing for the first time, and so they were amazed and curious about it. Moreover, it was also a time for them to look upon the wide, beautiful sea and enjoy and learn about nature.

The Cheongsong Branch (Branch Leader: Mitsiyo Yoshida) served hot coffee and jujube tea on March 4 to local residents who came to shop at the Cheongsong Market, which is very cold in wintertime, and to do PR for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ being carried out by the WFWP.
