성북지부(지부장:임태옥)의 회원인 우다 에즈꼬 부회장(본부)이 지난 2월 19일, 2013년 성북구 지역사회를 위해 헌신적으로 봉사한 구민들을 표창하는 ‘성북구 유공구민 시상식’에서 구청장상을 수상하였다. 성북지부 회원으로 지역 사회활동에 오랜 기간 적극 참여 한 내용을 인정받아 수상을 하게 되었다. 한국 사람들이 수상 받는 자리에 유일하게 다문화가정으로 수상함으로 총재님 양위분의 위상을 높이고 세계평화여성연합을 세상 앞에 알리는 좋은 계기가 되었다.

The Seongbuk Branch of Seoul  Presented with the Magistrate’s Award

A member of the Seongbuk Branch (Branch Leader: Tae Ok Yim), Vice-President Ezuko Uda (Headquarters), was presented with the Magistrate’s Award at the ‘Seongbuk-gu Meritorious Gu Residents Awards Ceremony’ held on February 19, where the Gu residents who dedicatedly carried out volunteer work for the local community of Seongbuk-gu in 2013 were presented with awards. She was given the award in recognition of her long, hard work for the local community as a member of the Seongbuk Branch. She was the only award-winner from a multicultural family at an awards ceremony where all the other awardees were Korean, and, as such, her winning the award was a good opportunity to promote the Women’s Federation for World Peace before the world and raise the reputation of the Founders.
