울산지부(지부장:모리나가 에미꼬)는 크리스마스 및 연말을 맞이하여 ‘눈빛으로 통하다’라는 주제로 12월 24일부터 25일까지 울산광역시 중구청 주최로 제8회 울산중구 눈꽃축제를 개최했다. 중부 소방소앞 광장에서 인공눈을 뿌려서 2천 여 명의 시민들이 크리스마스 분위기를 만끽하면서 총 30개 팀의 공연과 새해 소망 메시지 달기 등 다양한 이벤트가 있었다.

이날 울산 여성연합은 모금부스를 설치하여 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 및 필리핀 돕기 모금활동을 했다. 또한 회원들이 울산아리랑 연주를 하면서 회원들이 산타크로스 옷을 입고 아이들한테 사탕을 나눠 주면서 많은 관심을 끌면서 모금활동을 전개했다. 또한 울산지부는 매월 첫째 주 금요일에는 남구 태양 요양병원에서 목욕 도우미 등 지역 봉사활동을 하고 있다.

12월 12일에는 중구 한국폴리텍대학 함월관에서 다문화가정 일자리 창출을 위한 프로그램으로 다문화 사랑나눔회 회원들이 3개월 과정으로 2014년도에 교육할 예정이다.    

The Ulsan Branch

The Ulsan Branch (Branch Leader: Emiko Morinaga) participated in the ‘8th Ulsan Joonggu Snowflake Festival’, hosted by the Joonggu district office of Ulsan, from December 24 to 25, marking the Christmas season and the end of the year, under the title, “Communicating  Through the Eyes and the Snow”. Artificial snow was sprayed in the plaza in front of the Joongbu Fire Station, and more than two thousand citizens came to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere to the full. In addition, various events were held, including performances given by a total of thirty teams and the pinning up of New Year’s wish notes.

On this day, WFWP-Ulsan set up a fundraising booth to raise funds for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ and to help the Philippines. While members played the song ‘Ulsan Arirang’ other members dressed up in Santa Claus costumes and handed out candies to children, thus drawing the interest of many to their fundraising event. In addition, the Ulsan Branch carries out local volunteer work on the first Friday of every month by visiting the Sun Nursing Home in Namgu and helping the elderly with bathing.

On December 12, in the Ham Wol Hall of Korea Polytechnic University in Joonggu, members of the Multicultural Love-sharing Group came together to make a program for creating jobs for multicultural families, to be carried out as a three-month course in 2014.
