전남 보성군지부(지부장:김양순, 사또기미꼬)에서는 매년 다문화 모국어 및 음식체험학습을 자난 10월 28일 보성군 벌교초등학교에서 일본, 베트남 다문화가정 회원들과 함께 베트남어 배우기 및 음식체험(월남쌈)과 일본어 히라가나 배우기 교실과 함께 태마키쭈시 일본 음식 체험 행사를 가졌다. 이날 참석한 40여명의 학생들은 외국어에 대하여 관심을 가질 수 있는 좋은 체험학습이 되었다며 참석 소감을 전했다. 또한 초등학교로부터 지속적인 교육을 부탁받기도 했다.

또한 매년 열리고 있는 보성군 여성자원봉사협의회에서 열리고 있는 가을운동회에 2012년부터 보성군 세계평화여성연합이 참석하고 있으며 이 운동회는 지역의 190 단체 중 지난 1년간의 실적 활동에 따라 50단체만 참석할 수 있어서 참석하는데 의미가 있는 운동회다.

Boseong Branch of South Jeolla Province hosts ‘Experiencing Japanese and Chinese Culture with Friends’

Boseong Branch (Co-Branch Leaders: Yang Soon Kim, Kimiko Sato) of South Jeolla Province hosts an event every year for experiencing various languages and foods of various cultures. On October 28, at Beolgyo Elementary School in Boseong-gun, they hosted an event for learning Vietnamese and experiencing Vietnamese food, Gỏi cuốn (spring rolls), together with Vietnamese members, and they also held a class for learning Japanese Hiragana and experiencing Japanese food, Temaki Sushi (hand rolled sushi). The forty or so students who participated in the event on this day said that it was a wonderful experience for them, for they got a chance to become interested in foreign languages. Moreover, the members were asked by the elementary school to host the event on a regular basis.
