경주시지부(지부장:김영화)는 9월 13일 추석을 앞두고 귀한 분들께 선물을 드리기 위해 정성을 담아서 ‘다문화가정 한국전통 문화체험-찹쌀떡 만들기’를 했다. 지부장 지도로 뜨끈한 찹쌀떡 속에 안고를 넣는 방법과 동글하게 모양을 내는 법과 근사한 마무리 포장 방법을 배우는 한국문화체험의 시간이 되었다.

또한 경주시가 주관 ‘경주시민 사랑 나눔 벼룩장터’에서 지구가족사랑1%운동’ 바자회 부스를 운영하였다. 찹쌀떡과 일본음식 야끼소바, 의류 등을 판매하는 활동을 전개했다.

경북 성주지부(지부장:김순락)는 지난 9월 25일 무료급식소에서 설거지 봉사를 하였다. 2008년부터 2013년 현재까지 매월 꾸준히 급식소 설거지 봉사로 지역 활동에 참여하고 있다.

The Gyeongju Branch of North Gyeongsang Province hosts a Korean Traditional Cultural Experience for Multicultural Families and the ‘1% Love Share Project’ Bazaar

On September 13, with Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day) only days away, the Gyeongju Branch (Branch Leader: Yeong Hwa Kim) held the ‘Korean Traditional Cultural Experience for Multicultural Families: Making Glutinous Rice Cakes’ event, which cakes were to be presented as heartfelt gifts to important guests. The event, led by the branch leader, provided an opportunity for the participants to experience Korean culture as they learned how to put  bean jam filling into the warm rice cakes, how to roll them into balls, and how to wrap them up prettily.

In addition, the branch also opened a booth for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ Bazaar at the ‘Gyeongju Citizens Love Sharing Flea Market’ sponsored by Gyeongju City. They sold glutinous rice cakes, Yakisoba (Japanese noodles), and articles of clothing.

The Seongju Branch of North Gyeongsang Province (Branch Leader: Soon Rak Kim) performed a dishwashing service at the Free Meal Service Center on September 25. From 2008 up to the present, they have continued to participate in local activities by continuing to perform a dishwashing service at the Free Meal Service Center every month.
