인천시지부(지부장:김보경)는 2013년 8월 20일, 3층 세미나실에서 월례회의를 가졌다. 인천시지부는 2012년 10월 인천교구로 승격되고 3개월 간 조직개편 준비기간을 거쳐 2013년 8월, 광역시지부 사위기대 및 구지부장, 구지부 사위기대를 세우고 임명장을 수여하게 되었다. 임명장을 받은 기대장, 부지부장, 총무 등 사위기대 조직들은 새로운 결의를 다지는 계기로 삼으면서 동지부장 및 회원교육을 실시하여 먼저 내적인 기대를 쌓고, 지도자 초청 평화 원리세미나와 여성포럼 등 대외적인 활동을 적극적으로 펼쳐 나가기로 하였다.

인천시지부 서구 복지회관 자선공연

인천시지부(지부장:김보경) 다문화 풍물단 ‘아주’는 매월 자선공연으로 재능기부 봉사활동을 펼치고 있으며, 특히 서구복지회관에서는 지속적인 요청으로 3년째 공연을 진행하고 있다. 이번 공연은 회원들의 실력이 향상됨에 따라 1시간으로 연장해달라는 요청을 받고 다양한 공연으로 진행하였으며 여성연합의 활동내용을 소개하는 시간도 가졌다.

인천 부평지부

부평구지부(지부장:정혁순)에서는 2013년 6월 30일 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 바자회를 실시하였다. 바자회 품목은 생활용품과 의류, 먹거리로는 잔치국수, 과일꽂이, 해물파전, 호박죽, 커피와 샌드위치를 준비하여 큰 호응을 얻었다. 이번 행사를 통해 평화대사 및 지역주민들에게 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’에 대해 알리며 여성연합의 취지와 활동내용을 전할 수 있었다.

인천 주안지부

주안지부(지부장:최은희)는 제1차 7월 23일~8월 29일까지 ‘기 치료 및 부부 맛사지 교실’을 개설 했다. 매주 화, 목 오후 8시~10시 김상중 원장의 무료강좌로 열 진행하고 있으며, 회원 부부 및 지역주민들도 참가하여 지쳐있는 우리의 몸과 마음을 치료하는 맛사지 방법을 배우고 있다. 참가하는 회원들의 좋은 반응으로 9월부터 제2차 매주 수요일 오후 2시에 실시할 예정이다.

Activities of the Incheon Branch

The Incheon Branch (Branch Leader: Bo Gyeong Kim) held their monthly meeting in the third floor seminar room on August 20, 2013. After the Incheon Church was promoted to the Incheon Regional Headquarters in October 2012, the Incheon Branch went through a three-month period of re-organization and preparation, and as of August 2013 they have established a four-position foundation of the city branch, as well as with the Gu branch leaders and the Gu branches, and certificates of appointment were presented. The four-position foundation organizations, which include the foundation leaders, deputy branch leaders and managers, who have received the certificates of appointment, took the opportunity to make a new resolution, and they made plans to carry out workshops for the Dong branch leaders and members in order to build an internal foundation first, and also to carry out such external activities as holding leaders’ seminars and the women’s forum in earnest. The Incheon Branch Gives a Charity Performance in the Seogu Welfare Center.

The multicultural Korean musical instruments team of the Incheon Branch (Branch Leader: Bo Gyeong Kim), ‘Aju’, gives charity performances every month, offering their talent as part of their volunteer work. In particular, they have given performances for three years at the Seogu Welfare Center, upon the constant requests from the Center. The skills of the members has improved to such an extent that they were requested to extend their performance to become one hour long. While giving various performances, they use the occasion to introduce the activities of the WFWP.

The Bupyeong Branch of Incheon

The Bupyeong-gu Branch (Branch Leader: Hyeok Soon Jeong) held a bazaar for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ on June 30, 2013. At the bazaar, an assortment of daily necessities and articles of clothing were sold, and the foodstuffs prepared included white noodles, skewered fruits, Korean-style seafood and spring onion pizza, pumpkin soup and coffee and sandwiches, which were all well received. Through the event, they had a chance to introduce the ‘1% Love Share Project’, as well as the goals and activities of the WFWP, to ambassadors for peace and local residents.

The Juan Branch of Incheon

The Juan Branch (Branch Leader: Eun Hee Choi) held the first ‘Chi Treatment and Couples’ Massage Class’ from July 23 to August 29. The class was held every Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm to 10pm, free of charge, led by Director Sang Joong Kim. Through the class, the participating member couples and local residents learned about massage methods to heal their tired bodies and minds. Since the participating members were favorably impressed by the class, a second class will be held in September, every Wednesday at 2pm.
