대구지부(지부장:조순선)는 4월 7일 여성연합 임원, 학부모, 관련자들을 모신 가운데 교육관 개관식 및 2013 특성화사업 ‘다문화가정자녀 자존감 강화 프로젝트’인 천화당 검도반 출발식이 진행되었다. 초중학생 남녀로 구성된 다문화가정 자녀 25명이 입단서를 제출하고 본격적인 7개월간의 검도수련에 동참하게 되었다.

Daegu Branch - 2013 Specialized Branch Project: ‘Strengthening the Self-Esteem of Multicultural Children’ through the Cheon Hwa Dang Kendo Class begun.

The Daegu Branch (Branch Leader: Soon Seon Cho) held the opening ceremony of their education center and of the Cheon Hwa Dang Kendo Class, which is their 2013 Specialized Branch Project, ‘Strengthening the Self-Esteem of Multicultural Children’, on April 7. These ceremonies were attended by staff members of the WFWP, parents of the students, and other guests. Twenty-five children from multicultural families, boys and girls from grade school and middle school, eagerly submitted their applications to participate in the seven-month-long Kendo training.
