광주⁃전남지부(지부장: 손숙희)는 가자지구 어린이 돕기 후원은 GAZA i DREAM활동에 적극 참여하고 있다. 손숙희 지부장(광주전남)을 비롯하여 광주 남구지부에 이이누마 유카리 외20명이 꾸준히 후원하고 있다.

'GAZA I Dream(가자 아이 드림)'은 가자지역의 전쟁으로 인해 만성질환을 앓고 있는 아이나 전쟁 고아를 후원하기 위해 여성연합과 중동 아동 후원재단이 함께 진행하고 있는 프로젝트이다.

또한 광주⁃전남지부는 각 지역별로 다양하게 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’ 활동을 펼치고 있다.

광주동구지부(부지부장:엔도 하루미)는 2012년 12월, 2회에 걸쳐 광주 시내에서 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’ 모금활동을 진행했다.

곡성지부(지부장:후지야마 게이꼬)는 2012년 11월 25일, 곡성지부 강당에서 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’ 바자회를 열었다.

광양지부(지부장:조옥임)는 12월23일 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’ 바자회와 더불어 먹거리장터를 가졌으며 이주여성요리교실을 통해 다문화가정교육을 꾸준히 진행하고 있다.

순천지부(지부장:오까 루미꼬)는 11월26일, 순천 다문화가정센터에서 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’ 바자회를 개최 했다. 또한 12월17일에는 한해를 정리하며 순천지부 회원들이 함께 송년회를 가졌다.

             
장흥지부(지부장:장종금)는 2012년 12월8일, 지역 토요시장에서 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’ 바자회를 개최했다.
군청에서 바자회 장소를 협조해 주셨고 이명흠 군수님(장흥)도 동참하여 모금함에 후원금과 더불어 아낌없이 격려를 했다.
날씨도 춥고 바자회를 시장에서 개최하는 것이 처음이었기에 준비 과정이 복잡하고 어려웠지만 회원들과 면 지부장들이 하나의 마음으로 참여해주었기에 성공적인 모금행사를 할 수 있었다.

보성지부(공동지부장:사또 기미꼬/김양순)는 2012년 12월23일, 보성군 자원봉사 단체 시상식에서 세계평화여성연합이 군수상을 수상했다.
또한 12월 12일, 17일에는 다문화 체험학습(일본, 중국 요리교실)을 보성초등학교, 조성초등학교, 벌교초등학교에서 진행하였다.
12월19일에는 행복나누기 김장을 준비하여 다문화가정에 전달했다.

Gwangju, South Jeolla Province - ‘1% Love Share Project’ Activities

The Gwangju Branch (Branch Leader: Sook Hee Son) of South Jeolla Province is actively participating in ‘GAZA I DREAM’, which is a project dedicated to helping and supporting the children of the Gaza Strip. Including Branch Leader Sook Hee Son (Gwangju, South Jeolla Province) and Mrs. Yukari Yiinuma of the Gwangju Southern Branch, more than 20 members have continued to support the project ceaselessly.

'GAZA I Dream'is a project jointly run by the WFWP and the Children’s Relief Foundation in the Middle East to support the children living in the Gaza Strip who are suffering from chronic illnesses caused by the war or who have been orphaned due to the war.

In addition, the Gwangju Branch of South Jeolla Province is also carrying out a variety of ‘1% Love Share Project’ activities adapted to each region.

The Gwangju Eastern Branch (Deputy Branch Leader: Harumi Endo) carried out a fundraising campaign for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ in two rounds in downtown Gwangju in December 2012.

The Gokseong Branch (Branch Leader: Keiko Fujiyama) hosted a ‘1% Love Share Project’ Bazaar on November 25, 2012 in the Main Hall of the Gokseong Branch.

The Gwangyang Branch (Branch Leader: Ok Im Cho) hosted a ‘1% Love Share Project’ Bazaar on December 23, where they opened a foodstuffs market for the day as well. They are also continuing to hold education classes for multicultural families through cooking classes for immigrant women.

The Sooncheon Branch (Branch Leader: Rumiko Oka) hosted a ‘1% Love Share Project’ Bazaar on November 26 at the Sooncheon Multicultural Center. In addition, on December 17 they held a year-end party together with the members of the Sooncheon Branch to bid the old year goodbye.

The Jangheung Branch (Branch Leader: Jong Geum Jang) hosted a ‘1% Love Share Project’ Bazaar on December 8, 2012 at the local Saturday Market.

The district office provided them with a place to hold the Bazaar, and Magistrate Myeong Heum Lee (Jangheung) also participated in the Bazaar, giving generously towards the Fund and speaking words of encouragement to the members.

Though it was rather cold and they had trouble with the preparations because it was the first time for them to host the Bazaar in a marketplace, the members and Myeon (Branch Leaders took part in the event with a united heart and thus made the fundraising campaign a great success.

The Boseong Branch (Co-Branch Leaders: Kimiko Sato and Yang Soon Kim) won the Magistrate’s Award at the Boseong-gun Volunteer Service Organizations Award Ceremony held on December 23, 2012.

In addition, they also gave multicultural experience classes (cooking classes to prepare Japanese and Chinese food) in Boseong Elementary School, Joseong Elementary School and Beolgyo Elementary School.

On December 19, they made Kimchi as a part of their happiness sharing project, and the prepared Kimchi was distributed to multicultural families.
