강원지부(지부장:박선희)는 지역별 다양한 봉사활동을 진행하고 있다.

6월1일, 강원 고성지부(지부장:고이께 가즈요)에서 제일 가까운 마을회관에서 자원봉사자 5명이 쑥뜸봉사를 했다.

강원 태백지부(지부장:사사끼 기미꼬)에서는 2011년 10월부터 월 2회씩, 적십자 봉사회를 통해 요양원의 주방도우미, 목욕도우미, 청소 등 다양한 봉사활동을 하고 있다. 또한 한 달에 2번 경로당에서 손 마사지 봉사를 하고 있으며, 틈틈이 동네청소를 여성회원들의 관심과 협조로 실천하고 있다.

6월30일, 강원 평창지부(지부장:양영숙)에서는 ‘제3회 요리교실’을 개최했다.

양영숙 지부장을 중심으로 12명의 회원이 참석하여 오이고추 김치를 만들었다.

“다문화가정들의 식탁에도 남편이 좋아하고 맛있는 한국 전통요리를 올려서 사랑받는 부인들이 되어야 한다”고 설명하면서 요리를 가르쳐 주었으며 직접 만든 오이고추 김치는 참석한 회원들은 물론 함께 참석을 못한 회원들에게도 나누어 주어 한국 문화 ‘나눔의 정신’을 실천했다.

평창지부의 요리교실은 요리를 배우는 것 만이 아니라 만든 음식으로 사랑을 나누는 실천의 장으로 더 많은 회원들이 참석하여 더욱 활기를 띠고 있다. 

Gangwon Branch carries out regional service activities

The Gangwon Branch (Branch Leader: Seon Hee Park) is carrying out various regional service activities.

On June 1, five members of the Goseong Branch (Branch Leader: Kazuyo Koike) of Gangwon Province visited the nearest community center to perform moxa treatment service.

Since October of 2011, the Taebaek Branch (Branch Leader: Kimiko Sasaki) of Gangwon Province has been carrying out  volunteer work twice a month through the Red Cross Volunteer Service, such as cleaning and helping out in  Nursing Homes.  The Branch also visits the Senior Center twice a month to give hand massages to the elderly and occasionally carries out neighborhood clean-ups thanks to the interest and cooperation of women members.

On June 30, the Pyeongchang Branch (Branch Leader: Yeong Sook Yang) of Gangwon Province hosted ‘The Third Cooking Class’.

Centering on Branch Leader Yeong Sook Yang, twelve members came together to make cucumber chili kimchi.

The participants were taught how to make this kimchi with the explanation, “The wives of multi-cultural families should also make delicious Korean traditional dishes for their husbands in order to become beloved wives.”The cucumber chili kimchi made during the class was shared not only  among the participants but also to those members who were unable to attend the class, thus practicing the Korean  tradition of ‘the spirit of sharing’.

Cooking classes hosted by the Pyeongchang Branch are becoming more and more popular and the number of participants is increasing with every class, for it is not only a cooking class but also an opportunity to share love with others through the food made during class.
