청원군지부(지부장:나까마 유미꼬)에서는 2012년 2월 9일 관내 내수중학교 졸업식에서 세계평화여성연합 청원군 지부 이름으로 장학금을 수여하였다. 어려운 가정환경에서도 품행이 단정하고 모범적인 생활을 해온 졸업생 3명에게 장학금을 전달하였다. 학생들에게 전달된 장학금은 그 동안 여성연합 회비로 모은 기금과 회원들의 협찬으로 마련하였다.

또한 졸업생 전원에게는 총재님의 자서전 '평화를 사랑하는 세계인으로'를 졸업선물을 하였다. 회원들의 협찬으로 정성스럽게 준비한 253권은 한 권 마다 정성스러운 포장과 졸업축하 메시지를 담아 졸업생들에게 전달되었다.

봉사활동에 중점을 두고 지역사회와 더불어 나눔을 실천해 온 청원지부는 장학금 기부 등 새로운 연례사업으로 추진할 계획이다.

Scholarships awarded in the name of the WFWP’s Cheongwon-gun Branch, North Choongcheong Province

On February 9th, the Cheongwon-gun Branch of North Choongcheong Province (Branch Leader: Yumiko Nakama) awarded scholarships at the graduation ceremony of the Naesu Middle School, situated in their district, in the name of the WFWP’s Cheongwon-gun Branch. Three graduates, who are well-behaved and who have continued to lead exemplary lives, were presented with scholarships, prepared with funds collected from WFWP membership fees and from donations given by the members.

In particular, all the graduates were presented with a copy of Rev. Moon’s autobiography, ‘As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen’, as their graduation present. The 253 copies of the autobiography, prepared with the help of the members, were nicely gift-wrapped and presented to the graduates with written messages congratulating them on their graduation.

The Cheongwon Branch, which has continued to practice sharing love with their local community, focusing mainly on volunteer work, plans to promote new annual projects, including the awarding of scholarships.
