경기남부 일신지부(지부장:권영혜)는 9월2일~5일까지 이천시 설봉공원 및 이천관내에서 개최 된 에 참가하였다.

일신지부는 일본과 우즈베키스탄의 두 개의 부스를 운영하여 각 나라의 민속놀이와 고유 장식물을 만들어 보면서 다른 문화에 대한 새로운 인식을 하는 기회를 가지게 했다.

특히 이번 축제에 문예부분에 출전한 여성연합 회원이 대상을 받기도 했다.

그 외에 이천지부는 이천교육지원청, 부발초등학교, KT IT서포터즈의 후원으로 을 매주 2회에 걸쳐 교육을 진행하고 있다.

Gyeonggi South Ilshin Branch

Gyeonggi South Ilshin Branch (manager: Young-hye Kwon) participated in the National Lifelong Learning Festival at Seol-bong Park and the surrounding area in Icheon City from 2-5 September.

The Ilshin Branch ran two booths: Japan and Uzbekistan. Playing folk games of each country and making ethnic decorations gave a chance to get different perceptions on cultures of other countries. A WFWP member participated in a writing competition and won the grand prize in this festival. The Icheon Branch also runs a “Fun Hangeul, computer lesson program” co-sponsored by the Icheon Office of Education, Bubal Elementary School, and Korea Telecom, twice a week.
