강동지부(지부장:홍성순)는 강동구에 소재한 (재)주몽재활원`장애인학교에서 후원자에게 보내는 지로 및 안내문 발송 작업 봉사활동을 매월하고 있다.

작은 활동이지만 꾸준히 10년을 넘어 활동을 해온 것이 인정을 받아 올해 2011년 4월에는 강동구내 봉사자들에 대한 시상식에서 감사패를 받기도 했다.

봉사활동이 평일 오전임에도 항상 10명이상에 회원들이 각자의 시간을 내서 참여하는 이 시간이 아주 즐겁고 보람된 시간이 되고 있다.

봄과 가을 등 계절이 바뀌는 시점에 바자회를 개최하고 있으며, 온 가족이 참여가 가능한 일요일 강동 통일회관 주차장을 활용하녀 회원들이 모은 옷, 가전제품, 책, 장난감과 즉석코너에는 떡볶이, 오뎅, 음료수 등을 판매하였다.

함께한 회원과 자녀들은 바자회 진행과 참여를 매우 흥미로워하면서 기쁘게 참여하고 있다.

또한 강동 평화문화센터를 찾아 강의에 참여하는 지역 주민들에게 문화체험 시간과 더불어 여성연합을 소개하고 “지구사랑1%운동”을 안내하고 있다.

Seoul Gangdong

Every month the Gangdong Branch (manager: Hong Sung Soon) leads a service activity, sending electronic billing system information for supporters of a school for disabled persons in Gangdong-gu.

It's not a big activity though they have kept it up for 10 years. They received an appreciation plaque from the Gangdong-gu Awards for Volunteers in April of this year.

Although the service time is from 10 am on a weekday, more than ten people usually attend to offer the service, and share time together.

In spring and autumn they hold a '1% Love Share Project' bazaar on a Sunday when all family members can participate. Using the Gangdong Tongil Hall parking lot, they sell secondhand clothing, books, toys, home appliances, drinks, tteokokki, odeng (fish cake), etc.
