목포지부는(지부장:이노우에) 2010년 3월부터 2011년 2월까지 1년에 걸쳐서 한국어교실 고급과정을 특히 한국어능력시험 고급을 목표로 실시하고 있다.

지역에 많은 한국어교실들은 대부분 초급과정 뿐이라는 아쉬움이 있어서 목포시지부에서는 한국에 5년 이상 거주하는 외국인을 위해 한국어 능력을 향상 시킬 수 있고, 사회에 나갈 수 있는 기회를 넓히기 위해서 고급과정교육을 실시하였다.

또한 4월3~4일에는 에 참여하여 일본전통 놀이와 음식을 선보이며, 다문화가족이 지역사람들과 어울려 즐거운 시간을 가질 수 있게 하였다. 이 날 수입금은 아동원(지역 보호시설) 돕기에 쓰였다.

목포지부는 다문화가정을 돕기를 위해서 수시로 를 열고 있다. 바자회에서는 헌옷, 헌책, 안 쓰는 잡화 등을 싸게 팔고 다문화가족의 도움을 받아 각 나라 음식을 선보이고 있으며 지역의 많은 방문자들의 호응을 끌기도 했다.

그 외에도 목포시에서 실시하는 에 참석, WFWP 목포시지부 외국인 회원과 그 아이들이 합창을 하고 대상을 수상하기도 했으며, 다문화가정 부부 줄다리기에도 1등을 했다. 또한 대불대학교 일본어학과 학생들과 함께 일본 음식과 전통놀이를 선보이기도 했다.

일주일에 한번 씩 상동주공아파트와 옥암동 블루빌 노인정을 방문 마사지와 전기치료 등을 봉사활동을 하면서 다문화가족 아이들을 대상으로는 도서실을 개관과 선문대학교에서 교육 받은 후 초등학생과 유치원생을 위한 성교육으로 다문화가정 아이들을 위한 활동을 하면서 여성연합의 활동에 박차를 가하고 있다.

Gwangju Jeonnam Mokpo Branch

The Mokpo Branch (manager Inoue) conducted advanced Korean classes from March 2010 to February 2011. Their goal is for students to pass the high-level TOPIK exam.

Many Korean classes have only a beginner's course. For that reason the Mokpo branch offered an advanced course of the Korean language, in order to give a chance to foreigners who have lived longer than 5 years in Korea and who want to become more involved in Korean society and improve their language abilities.

Also on 3-4 April, multicultural families participated in a Yudalsan Festival and took time to mix with the region's people by playing traditional Japanese games and selling food. This day's proceeds of the benefit were delivered to an orphanage.

The Mokpo Branch often holds the "ANABADA" bazaar to help multicultural families.

In the bazaar, second-hand clothing, used books, and unused general merchandise are sold at economical prices. The bazaar has been popular in the area.

In addition, WFWP Mokpo Branch foreign members and their children participated in a Day of Foreigners Festival and won the first prize with a chorus and multicultural couples’ tug-of-war.

Students at Daebul University, Department of Japanese Language, share food and traditional games once a week, visiting the Sangdong KNHC Apartments and Okamdong Bluebill Senior Citizens Center for service providing massage and electrotherapy.

WFWP members are active not only in an open library for children of multicultural families but also they provide family education to elementary school students and kindergarten students after having received training from Sunmoon University.
