2011년 통일교육협의회 회원단체 워크숍이 지난 11월 17일부터 18일까지 1박2일 일정으로 강원도 평창 켄싱턴플로라 호텔에서 총 90여명이 참석한 가운데 개최됐다.

워크숍은 권영경 통일교육원 교수의 "통일교육의 방향" 기조강연, 박영호 통일연구원 선임연구위원의 "국제정세 변화와 남북관계 전망" 강연, 설용수 통일교육협의회 상임공동의장의 "통일시대를 준비하는 통일교육협의회 활동방향" 강연과 함께 통일교육사례발표, 회원단체 분임토의, 화합의 밤 등으로 진행되었다.

또한 본 연합의 송혜건 위원장(본 연합 통일분과), 경실련통일협회 김삼수 간사, 남북청소년교류연맹 박종철 교수, 통일교육문화원 김경민 원장, 평화문제연구소 김소연 주임이 각 단체의 통일교육 사례 발표가 있었다.

Presentation of WFWP at ROK Ministry of Unification Education Council member organizations’ workshop

The ROK Ministry of Unification Education Council member organizations’ workshop was held at the Gangwon-do Pyeongchang Kensington Flora Hotel on 17~18 November 2011, gathering about 90 participants.

The workshop schedule included a keynote speech under title of "Direction of Unification Education" by Unification Education Center Professor Kwon Young-kyung, and a lecture entitled "Change in the International Situation and Prospects for the North-South Korea Relationship," from Park Young-ho, a research engineer at the Korea Institute for National Unification. There was also a lecture, "Preparing Direction for the Age of Unification Activity," from Seol Yong-su, standing joint chairman of the government Korean Council for Unification Education.

Following were program presentations for unification education with case examples, a membership organization discussion, and an evening of harmony.

Also presented were each organization’s unification education example presentations by WFWP Chairperson Song Hye-geon of the North-South Unification Culture Subcommittee of WFWP Korea, Kim Sam-su, assistant administrator of the Korea Reunification Society of the Citizen’s Coalition for Economic Justice, Park Jong-cheol, professor at the South-North Korea Youth Interchange Federation, Kim Gyeong-min, director of the Global Peace Academy, and Kim So-yeon, assistant manager of the Institute for Peace Affairs.
