지난 2013년 12월 17일, 동두천지부(지부장:마쯔다 가쯔꼬)는 아름다운 문화센터에서 지역 지도자 180명이 참석한 가운데 ‘인류 한 가족 평화세계’의 주제로 21C여성지도자포럼을 개최했다. 지혜원 자문위원장(경우회)의 사회로 진행된 이번 포럼은 국민의례, 귀빈소개에 이어 마쯔다 가쯔꼬 지부장(동두천시)의 환영사, 오세창 시장(동두천), 박형덕 의장(동두천시)의 축사, 김순정 회장(여성단체협의회)의 격려사, 문난영 회장의 주제강연 순으로 진행되었다. 이날 축사자로 참석한 오세창 동두천 시장과 박형덕 동두천 시의장은 “여성연합의 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’을 통해 남북통일과 세계적 구호활동에 대한 기대가 크다. 또한 포럼을 통해 통일을 앞당기는 계기가 되면 좋겠다.”며 축사를 전했다. 또한 참석자들은 세계적인 UN⁃NGO 활동을 하는 세계평화여성연합에 대한 인식을 새롭게 하게 되었고, 이러한 운동을 가능하게 한 문선명 선생님의 사상에 응원의 갈채를 보냈다고 입은 모았다. 동두천은 지역 특성상 재한 외국인 군무원이 많아서 다수의 외국인이 참석하여 동시통역으로 진행하였다.

회장님 안녕하세요? 동두천 교회장 정우철입니다.
지난번 여성포럼 때 참석했던 외국 사람 중에 나이베리아에서 오신 기독교목사 두 분이 계속 교회에 나오고 계시고 오늘 구리교구에서 거행된 기성축복식에 부인사진들을 들고 참석했습니다.
지난번 교회에 참석했을 때도 통역기로 통역하면서 예배를 드렸고 그 후 소감을 전체 앞에서 하셨는데 여성연합의 세계적인 평화활동에 대단히 감동을 받았다고 합니다.
그리고 그날 참석했던 여성들 중 5분이나 오늘 축복을 받으셨습니다.

‘The 21stC Women Leaders Forum’ Hosted in the Dongducheon Branch, North Gyeonggi Province

On December 17, 2013, the Dongducheon Branch hosted the ‘21stC Women Leaders Forum’, entitled ‘The World of Peace With Humanity As One Family’, at the Beautiful Culture Center with 180 local residents in attendance. The forum was emceed by Head Advisor Hye Won Ji (Association of Retired Policemen), and began  with the Korean Pledge of Alliance and the introduction of VIPs, after which Branch Leader Kazuko Mazda (Dongducheon) gave the welcoming address, Mayor Se Chang Oh (Dongducheon) and Speaker Hyeong Deok Park (Dongducheon Municipal Assembly) delivered the congratulatory address, President Soon Jeong Kim (Korean Women’s Council) spoke words of encouragement and President Lan Young Moon delivered the keynote speech. Mayor Se Chang Oh of Dongducheon and Speaker Hyeong Deok Park of the Dongducheon Municipal Assembly, who took part in the Forum to give congratulatory addresses, said in their addresses, “We have high expectations of the WFWP and of their work in the unification of  North and South Korea and in world relief aid through the ‘1% Love Share Project’. We also hope that this Forum will serve as a means of accelerating the unification of Korea.” In addition, the participants said that the Forum had helped them to gain a new recognition of the Women’s Federation for World Peace, which is carrying out UN NGO activities globally, and they said collectively that they applauded and cheered the ideology of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, which has made such a movement possible.

Dear President Moon, greetings.
 I am Woo Cheol Jeong, the church leader of Dongducheon.
Of the foreigners who attended the Women Leaders Forum held last time, two Christian ministers from Liberia have continued to come to church, and they attended the Blessing Ceremony for previously married couples held today at the Guri Church, holding the pictures of their wives.
The last time they came to church, they attended the Sunday service, using a translator to help them understand, and afterwards they expressed their impressions before the congregation, in which they said that they were deeply moved by the worldwide peace movement of the WFWP.
Moreover, five of the women who attended the forum that day participated in today’s Blessing Ceremony.
I believe that your coming has definitely consecrated them spiritually.
