전북 익산지부(지부장:김윤희)는 11월 10일 익산지부강당에서 회원 234명이 함께 한 가운데 동지부장 및 회원교육을 실시하였습니다.

이날 교육은 다문화가정 어머니들로 이루어진 페파민트 합창단의 축가로 시작되었다. 여성연합 활동소개에 이어 문난영 회장은 ‘물동이를 내려놓고’라는 제목으로 비전2020 승리를 위한 활동에 대하여 “습관적인 모습을 버리고, 우리 각자가 지니고 있는 현실의 물동이를 내려놓고 새로운 각오와 결단을 할 수 있기를 바란다.” 고 했다. 또한 “많은 어려움 속에서도 세계적인 활동을 이뤄 내고, 현재는 국내 타 통일단체들로부터 인정을 받고, UN이 인정하는 1급 자문기관으로 성장한 것에 굉장한 자부심을 느낀다.” 며 회원들을 돌려했다.

익산지부는 이번 교육을 계기로  여성연합을 통해 비전 2020 승리를 향해 더욱 열심히 활동 할 것을 결의하였다.

Dong Branch Leaders’ and Members’ Workshop Held in the Iksan Branch, North Jeolla Province

The Iksan Branch (Branch Leader: Yoon Hee Kim) of North Jeolla Province held the Dong Branch Leaders’ and Members’ Workshop on November 10 at the Iksan Branch lecture hall, with 234 members in attendance.

The workshop held on this day opened with a congratulatory song performed by the Peppermint Choir, which is made up of mothers from multicultural families. Following an introduction to the activities of the WFWP, President Lan Young Moon gave a speech titled ‘Putting Down the Water Jar’. Speaking of the activities related to the victory of Vision 2020, she said, “I hope that we can do away with our habitual selves, put down the Biblical water jars we carry in our reality, and make a new resolution and determination.” She also added words of encouragement to the members, saying, “I am very proud of the fact that, in spite of innumerable difficulties, we have achieved many global accomplishments, and at present we are recognized by other unification organizations in Korea and, moreover, we have grown to become an NGO in general consultative status approved by the UN”.

Based on this workshop, the Iksan Branch has resolved to work even harder to bring about the victory of Vision 2020 through the WFWP.
