세계평화여성연합은 6월 13일, 본 연합 4층 세미나실에서 19개의 통일그룹 임원부인 43명이 참석한 가운데 ‘통일그룹 임원 부인 초청 간담회’를 가졌다.

간담회는 최영선 사무총장(본부)의 사회로 개회되었으며 WFWP활동 영상시청, 문난영 회장의 말씀, 양창식 총회장(세계평화통일가정연합)의 격려의 말씀, 안건토의 순으로 진행 되었다.

문난영 회장은 UN⁃NGO 제1영역 자문기관 지위에 대한 소개와 한학자 총재께서는 여성지도자들에 대해 깊은 관심을 가지고 “기관⁃기업체 임원부인들 모두가 여성연합활동에 동참할 것을 말씀하셨다.”고 전하며 “우리가 받은 귀한 가치를 주변으로 돌려주고 나눌 수 있어야 한다. 비전2020 승리를 위해 원리를 공부하고, 지도자 초청 평화세미나와 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’에 동참하자.”고 권유했다. 

양창식 총회장(세계평화통일가정연합)은 격려사에서 성화1주기 기념 추모 행사 계획을 설명하며 “과거에 머무는 것이 아니라 총재님의 가르침을 미래지향적으로 발전시키자.”고 말했다.

이날 간담회를 통해 통일그룹 임원 부인들은 앞으로 정기모임을 가지며 여성연합 활동에 동참하여 나눔의 생활을 실천하자는 의견을 모았으며 회장으로 이오영 사모(일화)를 선출하였다.

Invitational Meeting for Wives of Tongil Group Executives Hosted

On June 13, the Women’s Federation for World Peace hosted the ‘Invitational Meeting for Wives of Tongil Group Executives’ in the fourth floor seminar hall of the WFWP, attended by 43 wives of executives from 19 businesses under the Tongil Group.

The meeting was opened by the MC, Secretary-General Young Sun Choi (Headquarters), which was followed by a video screening of WFWP activities, a speech by President Lan Young Moon, words of encouragement from President Chang Shik Yang (Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), and a discussion of matters at hand.

President Lan Young Moon gave an introduction to being an NGO in general consultative status under the UN, and stated that Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon is deeply interested in the women leaders and conveyed her words, saying, “She wishes for all wives of executives of Church organizations and businesses to participate in the activities of the WFWP”. She also urged them: “We should be able to return and share the precious values we have been given to those around us. Let us study the Divine Principle for the victory of Vision 2020, and participate in the Leaders’ Invitational Peace Seminar and the ‘1% Love Share Project’”.

President Chang Shik Yang (Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), in his speech of encouragement, explained about the plans for the memorial service commemorating the first anniversary of the Seong Hwa of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, and said, “We should not stay in the past; rather, we should develop the teachings of Rev. Moon in a future-oriented way.”

Through the meeting held on this day, the wives of Tongil Group executives pooled their opinions to hold meetings regularly henceforth, and to participate in the activities of the WFWP and practice the lifestyle of sharing. They also elected Mrs. Oh Yeong Lee (Ilhwa) as their president.
