강원지부(지부장:박선희)는 지역별로 다양한 활동을 전개하고 있다.

춘천지부(지부장:시노하라 치오)는 매주 목요일 오전에는 월드비젼에서, 오후 2시 30분에는 춘천시 장애인복지센터에서 2명의 회원이 종이접기교실을 열고 있다. 또한 매주 회원이 거주하고 있는 아파트 단지 내에 있는 노인 회관 청소봉사를 하였다.                                               

평창지부(지부장:양영숙)는 작년 연말(2013년 12월 19일~12월 29일)에 평창군내에서 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 모금활동을 하여 모았던 성금의 일부를 1월 12일, 생활이 어려운 회원 4가정을 선정하여 불우이웃돕기 기금으로 전달하였다.

철원지부(지부장:이희숙)는 1월 1일 토교저수지에서 열린 ‘철원 새 바라기 해맞이 행사’에서 여성연합 회원들은 커피, 녹차를 나누어 드리는 봉사를 하였다. 이 행사에는 정호조 군수(철원), 각 기관, 단체장, 주민 등 3,000여명이 참석하였다. 매주 월~토 하루 8명의 회원들은 학교급식과 기업체가 기부한 빵과 식품, 음료, 생활용품 등을 인수하여 지역의 어려운 기관에 전달하는 푸드뱅크 활동을 지속적으로 실시하고 있다.         

태백지부(지부장:사사끼 기미꼬)는 회원 13명은 가족과 함께 매주 토요일마다 ‘사랑의 빵 나누기’를 실시하였다. 70~100개의 빵을 준비하여 노인회관이나 공원에서 어르신들에게 제공하고 있다.

강릉지부(지부장:이정일)는 매주 수요일 초당경로당’에서 쑥찜질과 해피헬스로 치료봉사를 하고 있으며 토요일에는 서예교실 문화강좌를 진행하고 있다. 또한 1월 26일에는 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 모금 활동으로 떡국용 떡을 주문하여 배달, 판매하는 행사로 진행하였다. 

원주지부(지부장:서동효)는 1월 14일에는 학성동 노인정에서 1월 17일에는 서곡4리 노인정에서 어르신을 위한 해피헬스 치료 봉사를 하였다.            

화천지부(지부장:김윤수)는 2월 3일에는 ‘원광보훈의 집’에서 2월 7일에는 군 GOP 전방부대에서 이·미용 봉사를 하였다. 2월 15일에는 김정숙 강사를 초청하여 기구사용 건강 운동과 손 그림 그려서 인생 이야기 운동 춤을 배우기도 했다.

홍천지부(지부장:장상란)는 2월 6일 회원 7명은 지역노인 복지관에서 요리 보조와 배식, 설거지 봉사를 하였다.                                         

고성지부(지부장:고이케 가즈요)는 2월 23일 회원 7명은 빵을 만들어 ‘거진읍 9리 노인정’을 방문하였다. 회원들은 노인정의 어르신과 함께 담소를 나누며 말벗 활동을 하였다. 

삼척지부(지부장:히가시 히로꼬)는 2월 19일 지역 노인복지회관에서 급식 배부봉사를 하였다. 영동권 폭설로 인한 지역 눈치우기 봉사활동도 함께 하였다.

The Gangwon Branch

The Gangwon Branch(Branch Leader:Seon Hee Park) is carrying out various local activities.

Two members of the Chooncheon Branch (Branch Leader: Chiho Shinohara) visit World Vision every Thursday morning and the Chooncheon Welfare Center for the Disabled at 2:30 pm on the same day to give origami classes. They also visit halls for the elderly in apartment complexes where members reside to carry out a cleaning service every week.

The Pyeongchang Branch(Branch Leader:Yeong Sook Yang) presented a part of the proceeds from the ‘1% Love Share Project’ fundraising event they held at the end of last year (December 19~December 29 2013) within Pyeongchang-gun to four members and their families, who were chosen because they were in difficult circumstances, on January 12, as a donation for neighbors in need.

The Cheolwon Branch(Branch Leader:Hee Sook Lee) took part in the ‘Cheolwon Bird Watching and New Year’s Greeting Event’ held on January 1 at the Togyo Reservoir. Members of the WFWP handed out coffee and green tea to the participants, which included Magistrate Ho Jo Jeong (Cheolwon), heads of institutions and organizations, and three thousand local residents. They are also regularly taking part in the Food Bank campaign, in which eight members a day collect bread, foodstuffs, beverages and daily necessaries donated by school cafeterias and companies every week from Monday to Saturday, and deliver them to the more needy organizations in the region.

Thirteen members of the Taebaek Branch(Branch Leader:Kimiko Sasaki) gather every Saturday to carry out the ‘Sharing  the Bread of Love’ event together with their families. They prepare 70~100 loaves of bread and serve them to the elderly in senior centers or parks.

The Gangreung Branch(Branch Leader:Jeong Il Lee) perform a treatment service using moxa poultices and Happy Health every Wednesday at ‘Cho Dang Hall for the Elderly’. On Saturday, they also give a calligraphy class as a part of their cultural curriculum. In addition, on January 26 they held a ‘1% Love Share Project’ fundraising event, in which they ordered rice cakes for rice dumpling soup and delivered and sold them.

The Wonju Branch(Branch Leader:Dong Hyo Seoh) performed a Happy Health treatment service for the elderly at Hakseong-dong Senior Center on January 14 and Seogok 4-ri Senior Center on January 17.

The Hwacheon Branch(Branch Leader:Yoon Soo Kim) carried out a haircutting service at ‘Won Gang Veterans’ Home’ on February 3 and the military post of the northernmost GOP region on February 7. On February 15 they invited Lecturer Jeong Sook Kim to tell them about ‘Healthy Exercise Using Instruments’ and an exercise dance named ‘Telling  Your  Life  Story by  Making  Pictures with  Your  Hands’.

Seven members of the Hongcheon Branch(Branch Leader:Sang Ran Jang) assisted in cooking and distributing a free meal and performed a dishwashing service at the local Elders’ Welfare Center on February 7.

Seven members of the Goseong Branch(Branch Leader:Kazuyo Koike) visited ‘Geojin-eup 9-ri Senior Center’ on February 23 with homemade bread. The members performed the service of holding conversations with the senior citizens of the Center.

The Samcheok Branch(Branch Leader:Hiroko Higashi) served a free meal at the local Elders’ Welfare Center on February 19. They also took part in the local snow-cleaning volunteer work resulting from the very heavy snowfall in the Yeongdong region.
