서울 본부교구 중구지부(지부장:손윤숙)은 10월 14일, 동화동 주민센터 카페에서 '다문화가정돕기 및 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동 바자회’를 실시하였다. 회원 30여명이 봉사자로 참가하여 진행했으며, 지역 주민 및 구의원, 동장, 주민자치위원장, 중구 주부환경연합회 회장도 참석 해 격려 해 주셨다. 한국, 일본, 태국, 아프리카 등 다문화 먹거리와 뜻에 동참해 주시는 여러 기업으로부터 기증받은 여성복, 가죽가방, 모피 목도리 등을 판매하였다. 특히 여러 나라의 민족의상을 아름답게 입은 다문화가정 회원들의 모습이 오시는 손님들의 눈을 즐겁게 해주고, 지역주민들도 다문화가정회원들을 따뜻하게 대해 주는 아주 뜻 깊은 시간이었다.

The Joonggu Branch of Seoul held a bazaar to help multicultural families and the 1% Love Share Project

The Joonggu Branch (Branch Leader: Yoon Sook Son) of the Headquarters Church of Seoul held a ‘Bazaar to help multicultural families and the 1% Love Share Project’ on October 14 at the Donghwa-dong Community Center Café. More than thirty members took part in the bazaar as volunteers, and local residents, Gu Assemblymen, Dong leaders, the Chairperson of the Community Autonomous Committee, and the Chairperson of the Joonggu Housewives Environmental Association also came to the bazaar to give them encouragement.

They sold various foodstuffs from Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Africa among other places, as well as women’s apparel, leather bags, fur mufflers and the like donated by several businesses that are also participating in the project.

In particular, the members of multicultural families, dressed beautifully in their various traditional costumes, was a treat for the eyes of the customers, and the local residents also treated the members from multicultural families with warmth. All in all, it was a very meaningful event.
