경기북부지부(지부장:문혜림, 이명숙)는 지역별로 다양한 활동을 전개하고 있다. 

구리시지부(지부장:아미오미찌에, 한은희)는 9월 7일, 특성화사업인 ‘행복한 여성 나를 찾아 떠나는 여행’을 테마로 다문화센터에서 예술치료를 했다. 음악과 함께 명상시간으로 현재 마음과 몸의 상태를 파악하는 시간을 가졌다. 또한 9월 28일에는 구리시 종합자원봉사센터에서 주최하는 ‘재능 나눔 자원봉사 프로그램’에 구리시지부 여성연합이 참가하여  봉사활동을 함께 했다. 구리시지부는 미술치료로 핸드폰 고리 만들기를 하였으며 ‘여성연합 소식지’와 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 팜플렛을 전달하며 홍보활동을 했다.

청심지부(지부장:유정화)는 9월 15일, 청심지부 다문화 2세 장학기금 마련을 위한 열린 바자회를 개최하였다.

미금지부(지부장:김일양)는 9월 8일, 남양주시 수동에 위치한 300명 정도 장애인들이 생활하는 장애인 시설인 ‘신망애’에서 봉사활동을 다녀왔다. 이날에는 준비한 떡과 과일을 선물로 드리고 회원들이 준비한 합창과 난타공연으로 즐거운 시간을 가졌다.

청평지부(지부장:박영자)는 5년 전부터 매월 제2주 목요일, 효도원에서 식사봉사를 하고 있다. 효도원생 60명의 식사와 설거지, 청소를 하고 있다.

포천지부(지부장:오오모또 아끼꼬)는 9월 23일, 장애인시설 임마누엘 집을 방문하여 미용봉사를 하였다. 9월 27일에는 ‘경기도 민속예술제’에서 여성단체협의회 회원들과 함께 음식을 만들어서 모금활동을 하였다.

화도지부(지부장:권선화)는 지난 9월 29일 화도지부에서 다문화가정 요리교실을 열었다. 지부장을 중심으로 회원 및 가족들은 열무물 김치, 노랑 호박 부침개를 만들고 시식하는 시간을 가졌다.

Activities of the North (omit ern) Gyeonggi Branch

The North Gyeonggi Branch (Co-Branch Leaders: Hye Rim Moon, Myeong Sook Lee) is carrying out various local activities.

The Guri Branch (Co-Branch Leaders: Mitsie Amio, Eun Hee Han) performed art therapy at the Multicultural Center on September 7 under the theme, ‘Happy women going on a journey to find themselves’, as their 2013 specialized branch project. Through a session of meditation with music, they took the time to examine the current state of their minds and bodies. In addition, on September 28 the Guri Branch of the WFWP took part in the ‘Talent Sharing Volunteer Work Program’ sponsored by the Guri City Volunteer Center and carried out volunteer work together with others. The Guri Branch made cell phone chains as a part of their art therapy, and they also carried out PR activities by handing out ‘WFWP Newsletters’ and ‘1% Love Share Project’ pamphlets.

The Cheongshim Branch (Branch Leader: Jeong Hwa Yu) held an open bazaar on September 15 to prepare a scholarship fund for multicultural second generation students of the Cheongshim Branch.

The Migeum Branch (Branch Leader: Il Yang Kim) visited ‘Shin Mang Ae’, which is a facility for the disabled, located in Sudong in Namyangju and home to three hundred disabled people, on September 8 to carry out volunteer work. On this day, they presented the residents with rice cakes and fruits they had prepared, and the members also gave a performance of singing and Nanta (drumming) that they had practiced for the occasion, and everyone had a wonderful time together.

The Cheongpyeong Branch (Branch Leader: Yeong Ja Park) has been carrying out a free meal service every second Thursday of every month for five years at Hyo Do Won. They provide the sixty residents of Hyo Do Won with a free meal, and also wash the dishes and clean up the place.

The Pocheon Branch (Branch Leader: Akiko Oomoto) carried out a haircutting service at the Emmanuel Home, a facility for the disabled, on September 23. On September 27 they made food together with the members of the National Council of Women to fundraise at the ‘Gyeonggi Province Folk Art Festival’.

The Hwado Branch (Branch Leader: Seon Hwa Gwon) held a cooking class for multicultural families at the Hwado Branch on September 29. Centering on the branch leader, the members and their families made ‘young radish watery kimchi’ and ‘pumpkin pancakes’ and together enjoyed eating them.
