동창원지부(지부장:모리스기 마리)는 지난달 6월 2일은 ‘지구가족사랑1%운동’ 작은 바자회를 열었으며, 7월 25일에는 창원시 반지동 급식봉사를 다녀왔다. 또한 매주 토요일에는 초등학생을 대상으로 다문화교실로 일본어와 음악교실 수업을 진행하고 있다. 회원들에게는 월2회 지역 어르신을 위한 봉사준비로 해피헬스 치료에 대한 교육도 하고 있다.

합천지부(지부장:이정학)는 지난 8월 13일 원폭 피해자 복지회관에서 위문공연 실시하였다.

청소봉사를 계속하면서 친분을 갖고 있는 시설인 복지관에서 입원환자들을 위하여 위로 잔치를 해주면 좋겠다는 요청에 의하여 공연을 가졌다. 세련된 공연은 아니었지만 학생들과 회원들은 환자이신 할아버지 할머니들을 위하여 사랑어린 심정으로 열심히 노래를 부르고 율동을 하며 위로의 시간을 가졌다.

거제지부(지부장:이규명)는 7월 12일 미진했던 여성연합의 위치를 새롭게 정립해 나가기 위해서 지역 봉사단체 등록을 하였고, 지역에서 해피헬스 치료봉사와 교육을 지속적으로 진행 하고 있다.

South Gyeongsang Province

The East Changwon Branch (Branch Leader: Mari Morisugi) held a small bazaar for the ‘1% Love Share Project’ on June 2 last, and on July 25 they took part in the free meal volunteer work at Banji-dong, Changwon. Moreover, every Saturday they hold multicultural classes, offering Japanese classes and music classes, for grade school students. A workshop on the Happy Health treatment is also being held for the members, to prepare them to carry out volunteer work for the elderly in local regions twice a month.

The Hapcheon Branch (Branch Leader: Jeong Hak Lee) gave a consolatory performance at the Welfare Center for victims of the atomic bomb explosion.

They had formed ties with the Welfare Center by regularly carrying out a cleaning service at the Center, and they gave the performance at the request of the Center to hold a consolatory event for the hospitalized patients. Though the performance was not a very refined one, students and members sang and danced earnestly, with hearts filled with love for the hospitalized grandfathers and grandmothers, in their effort to offer them comfort.

The Geoje Branch (Branch Leader: Gyu Myeong Lee) registered themselves on July 12 as a local volunteer organization to newly establish the position of the WFWP, which so far has remained rather weak, and they are locally carrying out Happy Health treatment service and workshops on a regular basis.
