주한 외국인 지부 (지부장: 엘리자베쓰 콜포드)는 4층 세미나실에서 매달 지부특성화사업으로 정기 행사를 개최하고 있다.

지난 8월 25일에는 미국에서 온 쉬아라 사꾸와 회원이(Mrs. Chiara Sakuwa) 마린 코프 (Marine Corps – 해병대 제대, 여군)에서 4년간의 군대생활에 대하여 이야기를 ‘자부심과 함께하는 모심(봉사): 군인의 아내와 엄마로서의 반성’이라는 주제로 프리젠테이션을 했다.

또한 9월 22일, 행사는 30여명이 넘는 여성들이 참석하여 ‘일본 전통 다도’에 대하여 배워보는 시간을 가졌다. 이 강의는 가나코 무라마츠 교수에 의해 진행되었으며, 다도를 통해 주인이 손님에게 차를 접대하면서 이 시간을 즐길 수 있는 마음의 훈련을 함으로서 일본의 철학적 기원에 대하여 이해하는 시간을 가졌다.

The International Women in Korea - Coffee Morning

The International Women in Korea (branch manager Elizabeth Colford) held its monthly Coffee Morning on August 25 in the Unification Church Headquarters in Seoul. Mrs. Chiara Sakuwa, U.S. Marine Corps (retired) spoke about the life lessons she learned by serving in the United States Marine Corps for four years. Her presentation was titled "Serving with Pride: Reflections of a Soldier Wife and Mother".

The IWK Coffee Morning for September was held on September 22. More than 30 men and women learned about preparing "The Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony" from Prof. Kanako Muramatsu. Through this presentation we came to understand the philosophical origin of the traditional powdered green tea ceremony and the esthetic discipline involved in the serving and enjoying of the tea by host and guest.
