7월15일 부산지부(지부장:이경순)는 부산통일회관에서 부산본부, 동구, 진구지부가 상반기 ‘지구가족1%운동’ 사랑의 바자회를 열었다.

한국음식과 일본음식, 필리핀음식을 준비하여 판매하였으며 헌옷과 가방 등 을 판매하면서 회원들은 하나가 되어 즐거운 마음으로 활동하는 시간이 되었다.

또한 7월18일, 부산 해운대지부는 세계평화여성연합 ‘일본어 강좌 개강3주년 기념식’을 가졌다. 야마모토 게이꼬 선생님의 사회로 시작한 행사는 1시간에 걸쳐 진행되었으며 일본어 강좌에 꾸준하게 참석하신 3명에게는 마음을 담은 감사의 선물이 전달되었으며, 참석자들에게도 작은 선물을 드렸다. 이후 준비한 다과를 즐기며 세계평화여성연합 20주년 창립행사 및 GWPN 총회 동영상도 함께 시청했다.

일본어를 가르치는 해운대지부 여성연합 4명의 선생님과 학생 20여명에게 세계평화여성연합 활동을 지역에 알리는 뜻 깊은 시간이 되었다.

Busan Branch

On July 15, the Busan Branch (Branch Leader: Gyeong Soon Lee) hosted a bazaar in support of the ‘1% Love Share Project’ for the first half of the year at the Busan Unification Center. The Busan Headquarters, the Donggu Branch, and the Jingu Branch participated in the bazaar.

As the members prepared and sold Korean food, Japanese food and Filipino food, as well as used clothes, handbags and other articles, they became one in their joy of working for others.

On July 18, the Haewoondae Branch of Busan held the ‘Commemorative Ceremony Marking the 3rd Anniversary of the Opening of Japanese Language Classes’ given by the Women’s Federation for World Peace. The event, emceed by Mrs. Keiko Yamamoto, was about an hour long, and 3 students who had attended the classes regularly were presented with gifts of heartfelt gratitude. Other participants were also given small gifts. Afterwards, while eating the snacks prepared for them, the attendees watched a video clip of the activities carried out by the Women’s Federation for World Peace since the time of its founding, as well as its 20th anniversary celebration and the GWPN General Assembly.

It was a meaningful event through which the local residents learned about the activities of the WFWP, and it was a wonderful hour for the 4 Japanese language teachers of the WFWP Haewoondae Branch and the 20 or so students present.
