세계평화여성연합 군산지부(지부장 김양희)에서는 5월 15일 군산통일회관에서 바자회를 개최하였다. 회원들과 식구들의 적극적인 참여와 도움으로 성공적인 바자회가 될 수 있었다.

이번 행사를 위해 한 달 전부터 많은 정성으로 준비해 온 군산지부는 바자회를 통해 얼마 전 지진과 쓰나미로 고통을 겪은 일본인 가족을 둔 회원들과 지구촌 곳곳의 어려운 환경에 처한 빈민을 도울 수 있는 활동을 한다는 것에 기쁜 마음으로 진행 하였으며, 회원들에게 단합과 보람을 안겨다준 소중한 시간이 되었다고 말했다.

군산지부는 앞으로 읍면동 지부장들을 교육하고 사회적으로 유능한 여성 지도자들을 발굴하여 그들과 함께 여성운동을 확대해 나갈 계획이라고 한다.

또한 오는 6월 21일 군산교육문화회관에서 문화제 개최를 위해 일본 전통무용과 합창 등을 준비하고 있다.

특히 이 날은 본 연합의 창시자 되시는 한학자 총재님 양위분이 예전 군산시를 직접 방문하셨던 날로 이 날을 기념하기 위한 것이라고 한다.

Jeollabuk-do Gunsan Branch

Jeollabuk-do Gunsan Branch (Branch Manager Kim Yang-hui) held a bazaar for the 1% Love Share Project on May 15 at the Gunsan Tongil Hall. It was a successful bazaar with member's active participation and help.

They had heartistically prepared the bazaar for about one month, and used the earnings to help needy people including victims from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. They had very precious time to make unity among Gunsan members.

They also talked about a future plan that they have plan to educate eup, myeon, and dong administrative district branch managers, and to discover talented women leaders from society who will help expand their women's movement.

And also, they prepared Japan traditional dance and chorus for a Cultural Festival coming 21 June, at the Gunsan Training Culture Hall.

Especially, the bazaar date was the day that the WFWP founders visited Gunsan in the past so it was also to commemorate that.
