경기남부 이천지부는(지부장:이경숙) 다문화협회회원과 여성연합 이천지부회원들이 함께 3월26일과 27일에 이천 중앙거리에서 일본지진 피해 돕기 모금운동을 하였다.

고사리 손의 어린아이에서부터 노인에 이르기까지 지역 주민들의 많은 관심과 협조가 있었으며, 과거역사의 기억을 떠나서 어려운 상황에 조금이라도 위로가 되기를 바라면서 보다 높고 넓은 마음으로 동참하였다.

어느 노인은 자녀가준 한 달 용돈을 모두 모금함에 기부하였으며, 한 어린이는 돼지 저금통을 가지고 와서 어려운 사람에게 써달라고 전달했으며, 도명사의 임진주 원장이 함께 후원해주었다. 이번 모인 사랑의 모금액 2,360,300원을 시청 복지과에 전달하였다.

Southern Gyeonggi-do Icheon Branch (Branch Manager Lee Gyeong-sook) members and the local Multicultural Council members fund-raised for Japan earthquake victims March 26-27, along the Main Street of Icheon.

Notwithstanding the painful history between Japan and Korea, not only the cute little hands of children but also senior citizens hoped to deliver comfort in this difficult situation and attended it.

One senior citizen donated pocket money for a month and a child brought a piggy-bank and said, "Please use it for poor people."

All the more beautiful, In Jin-ju, director of DoMyeong Temple, also supported the project. The temple offered 2,360,300 won to the Social Services Department, City Hall.
