지난 강원 철원지부(지부장:양영숙)는 다문화 회원들과 함께 11월 26일 「따뜻한 겨울나기-유자차 만들기」 요리교실을 열었다.

반찬으로만 배우는 요리가 아니라 계절 보양차를 만들면서 겨울을 준비해보는 시간이 되었다. 또한 철원지부는 지역 초등학교의 남은 급식으로 지역의 독거노인과 어려운 이웃들에게 반찬 봉사배달을 하는 「푸드뱅크 봉사」를 꾸준히 해오고 있다. 20여명의 회원들은 매일 4명씩 순번에 따라 하루에 5시간씩 봉사를 하면서 수시로 지역의 청소 봉사도 함께 하고 있다.

지역에서 많은 봉사를 인정 받으며 자리매김을 하고 있는 철원지부 회원들은 지난 11월27일에는 철원군에거 개최한 「제1회 철원군 여성풋살대회」(축구대회)에 출전하여 철원군내 20여개 단체를 물리치고 최우수상과 상금을 차지하여 그 실력을 과시했다.

Gangwon-do Cheolwon Branch

Last Nov. 26, Gangwon-do Cheolwon Branch (Yang, Young-sook, Branch Manager) opened a cooking class, “Warming the Winter: Making Citron Tea.” It is a nice way to cope with the cold winter by making seasonal health tea. Also, the Cheolwon Branch continues its Food Bank Service, which delivers food left over from local elementary school lunches to senior citizens who live alone and neighbors in need.

About 20 WFWP members join this service. Every day, four people work 5 hours a day, and often perform a local cleaning service. It is known that Cheolwon Branch members are offering many local services, and they attended the 1st Cheolwon-gun Women’s Soccer Competition and won among twenty organizations. They received a trophy and prize money.
