전북 정읍지부(지부장: 하다모코 노부꼬)에서는 10월30일부터 31일까지 이틀간 정읍사문화축제 통해 「지구가족사랑1%운동」사업을 운영했다.

정읍시의 부스 지원을 받아 일본 정통 음식인 다꼬야끼, 한국의 전통 과자 한과와 제과제빵 전문가인 회원이 현장에서 직접 만든 꽈배기 등을 판매하였다. 현장에서 갓 구워낸 빵은 축제에 참석한 이들에게 많은 관심과 인기를 끌었다.

20여명의 회원들은 이틀간의 사업을 통해 지역에서 여성연합의 활동을 알릴 수 있어서 감사했고, 수익금 일부를 지역의 어려운 소년소녀가장 3명을 후원할 수 있어서 흐뭇했다고 한다.

정읍지부는 이번 사업을 계기로 지역 축제에 관심을 가지고 적극 활용할 계획을 가지고 있다고 전했다.

Jeollabuk-do Jung-eup Branch Jangsan Culture Festival, 1% Love Share Project

The Jeollabuk-do Jung-eup Branch (Manager Hatamoto Nobuko) conducted a 1% Love Share Project at the Jangsan Culture Festival from Oct. 30 to 31. The Jung-eup Branch received a city-sponsored booth and they sold the Japan traditional dish takoyaki, Korean traditional sweets and cookies, and twisted bread sticks made by a baker member. The freshly baked bread was very popular with the festival visitors. Twenty members were grateful that they could introduce WFWP activities through this 2-day business project and pleased that they could sponsor three children without parents with part of the proceeds. The Jung-eup Branch decided to take part more actively at local festivals after holding a 1% Love Share Campaign.
