- 한국 전통문화 이해를 위한 민요보급 활동

다문화 가정으로 구성된 ‘대구 다문화 합창단’은 작년에 창설되었으며, 올해는 지부 특성화사업으로 선정되어 대구지역 활동에 힘쓰고 있다.

지난 사월 초팔일 날 법왕사 주지 실상스님의 초대로 대구 다문화 합창단이 참석하여 축가를 불렀다. 이날 대구다문화합창단은 전통 민요와 외 1곡과 불교의 노래 라는 곡목의 축가를 전했다.

또한, 6월 13일에는 대구시청과 매일 신문사와 MBC가 공동주최한 에서 한국 전통 부채춤과 북춤 등 8가지 공연을 했으며,

6월 19일에는 경북 예천시에서, 7월 2일에는 대구시에서 초청 공연이 있었다.

KBS 전국노래자랑에 출연하여 본선까지 출전하는 등 지역에서 활발한 활동을 전개하고 있다.

Daegu Branch

The Daegu Branch disseminated traditional Korean folk songs for better understanding of Korean traditional culture, through the Daegu Multicultural Chorus composed of multicultural families. The Daegu Multicultural Chorus was founded last year and selected as one of the 2010 Branch Specialization Activities.

The Daegu Multicultural Chorus was invited by Sil Sang, chief Buddhist monk at Beobwangsa Temple, and sang there on Buddha's Birthday in April. The chorus sang "Gyeongbok Palace Taryeong," the Buddhist song "Lotus Will Rise," and one other.

They also put on eight various performances including a Korean fan dance and drum dance at Our Daegu True Love Multicultural Family Council which was co-sponsored by the Daegu City Hall, Maeil Newspaper, and MBC on 13 June. They were invited and performed at Gyeongbuk Yecheon on 19 June and in Daegu on 2 July. They have been working briskly, in particular participating in the KBS Pan-National Singing Contest where they advanced to the finals.
