울산지부에서는 6.25전쟁 60주년을 맞이하여 호국 보훈의 달인 6월21일(월) 울산상공회의소 대강당에서 600명의 울산시민들이 대성황을 이룬 가운데 를 실시하였다.

김문호 감사(울산다문화가정협의회)의 사회로 시작한 강연회는 울산 다문화합창단의 통일의 노래에 이어 여성연합의 활동영상, 국민의례, 순국선열에 대한 묵념, 김영화 지부장 인사말, 김상만 울산광역시 교육감과 이금식 경암문화장학재단 이사장의 축사에 이어서 설용수 박사(통일교육협의회 상임공동의장)의 강연 순으로 진행 되었다.

특히 6.25참전 유공 회원 100여명과 울산공고생 110명, 월평중학생 70명의 청소년들이 참석한 가운데 6.25를 재조명 해보며 통일의 필요성을 인식하는 계기가 되었다.

Sixty Years after the Start of the Korean War: Realization of Peaceful Unification - Ulsan Branch

The Ulsan Branch offered a lecture about peaceful unification in memory of the Korean War, which started 60 years ago this year. The program was June 21 at the auditorium of the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, packed full with 600 Ulsan citizens.

Kim Munho, auditor of the Ulsan Multicultural Family Council, was MC and the program consisted of the Ulsan Multi-culture Chorus's unification song, WFWP activity video, the Pledge of Allegiance, silent tribute to the fallen patriots, greetings from Branch Manager Kim Younghwa, congratulatory remarks from Kim Sangman, Ulsan superintendent of education, and Lee Geumsik, chairman of the board of Gyeongam Culture Scholarship Foundation, and a lecture by Dr. Seol Youngsu, Standing Co-chairperson of the Korean Council for Unification Education.

Especially, it was a great chance to think about Korean unification, shedding new light on the Korean War for 110 students from Ulsan Technical High School, and 70 from Wolpyeong Middle School. Also, about a hundred Korean War veterans attended, wearing their uniforms and tearfully showing their strong desire for unification.
