10월16일~17일 민화협 여성위원회 주최로 ‘연평도 평화기행-평화의 섬, 연평도를 걷다’가민화협 여성위원회단체 여성임원 등 40여명이 참석한 가운데 진행되었다. 이번 평화기행이 연평도가 평화의 섬으로 거듭나고, 긴장과 분쟁에서 화해와 평화의 장이 될 수 있도록 여성들의 의지를 모으는 시간이 되었다. 본 연합에서는 박미화 회장(중앙위원) 외 3명이 여성연합을 대표하여 참석하였다.

Trip to Yeonpyeong Island with the women members of the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation

The ‘Peace Trip to Yeonpyeong Island: Walking on Yeonpyeong Island, the Island of Peace’, was hosted by the Women’s Committee under the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation (KCRC) from October 16 to 17, and attended by by more than forty women officials from organizations under the KCRC Women’s Committee. The Peace Trip held at this time provided a chance for the women to pool their resolutions, so that Yeonpyeong Island can be reborn as the Island of Peace and be transformed from a place of tension and conflict to a place of reconciliation and peace. Chairperson Mi Hwa Park (Central Committee) and three others attended the trip as representatives of the WFWP.
