지난 9월7일과 9월 25일, 통일교육협의회 후원, 본 연합 주최로 2012 통일기행 ‘우리가 만드는 강한 대한민국!’ 이란 주제로 열렸다.

9월7일에는 울산지역 지도자 및 다문화가정과 수도권 지도자를 포함한 40여명이 함께한 통일기행은 먼저 새터민 김영희 수석연구원(한국정책금융공사)의 라는 주제로 북한의 실생활과 사회를 알아보는 시간을 가졌다. 이후 분단현장인 판문점과 도란산역을 견학하는 시간을 가졌다.

또한 9월 25일에는 경북 구미와 김천지역 지도자 32명이 참석한 가운데 제3땅굴과 도라산역, 도라전망대 견학이 있었다. 

본 연합에서 개최하는 통일기행은 분단현장 견학과 함께 새터민 강사로부터 북한의 현실을 직시해보며, 우리의 당면 과제인 통일조국을 어떻게 준비할 것인지를 생각해보는 계기를 만들고 있다.

또한 다문화 가정 자녀에겐 통일캠프로 통일의식을 고취시키고 있으며, 지역적으로 취약 할 수 있는 지방에도 통일교육과 현장견학으로 교육의 기회를 제공하며 미래 통일시대를 준비하고자 한다.

2012 Unification Trip, ‘Strong Korea Made by Us!’ held

On September 7 and 25 last, the 2012 Unification Trip, sponsored by the Unification Education Council and hosted by the WFWP, was held under the theme of ‘Strong Korea Made by Us!’

On September 7, the Unification Trip, attended by 40 or so leaders and multicultural family members from the Ulsan district and leaders from the metropolitan area, commenced with a lecture given by a New Settler lecturer from North Korea, Principal Researcher Yeong Hee Kim (Korea Finance Corporation), under the title “Understanding North Korean Society”, through which the participants learned about the everyday life and society of North Korea. Afterwards, they visited Pan Mun Jeom and Dorasan Station, the scenes of national division, and had a chance to face the reality of Korea being a divided nation.

And on September 25, 32 leaders from Gumi and Gimcheon of North Gyeongsang Province came together to take a field trip to the Third Infiltration Tunnel, Dorasan Station, and Dora Observatory.

Through the Unification Trips, WFWP aims to create an opportunity for the participants to visit scenes of the division of Korea and face the reality of North Korea as related by New Settler lecturers, and thereby start thinking about how preparations can be made for the unification of the fatherland, which is the most important issue at hand.

In particular, through the Unification Camp, the unification awareness is being infused into the hearts of children from multicultural families, and we are also providing the more secluded regions with learning opportunities through the unification education and field trips. Thus, we aim to prepare ourselves for the future era of unification.
