1월 18일, 강원도 고성 통일전망대에서 를 올렸다.

매년 한해를 시작하는 첫 행사인 남북통일 기원제에는 중앙위원과 회원, 회원자녀들 80명이 함께 북녘 땅을 향하여 향을 피우고 제를 올렸다.

신기화 위원장(통일문화분과)의 사회로 시작하여 호국영령들을 위한 묵념, 참석자를 대표하여 박미화 중앙위원 회장의 향 올리기, 홍성순 부회장의 통일기원사, 정미자 중앙위원의 통일염원의 시 낭송과 오승현 학생의 북한친구에게 보내는 편지 낭송, 왕계순 부회장의 만세 삼창 순으로 진행 되었다.

The 19th North-South Unification Prayer Ceremony

On January 18, WFWP held the 19th North-South Unification Prayer Ceremony at the Unification Observatory located in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do.

A total of 80 central committee members, members, and their children attended this ceremony to start the new year 2011.

Attendees burned incense and prayed for unification with all their hearts to the North.

Chairperson Shin Ki-hwa (Unification Culture Department) was ceremony MC, and the program included a silent tribute to the souls of all the fallen heroes who died protecting their homeland. VP Hong Sung-soon uttered a unification prayer, Central Committee Member Jung Mi-ja's read a poem of unification desire, student Oh Seung-hyeon read a letter to an imagined North Korean friend, and VP Wang Gae-soon lead three cheers.

We were bothered by the cold but temperatures were higher than in the capital area and the sky was so clear so that we could see the Diamond Mountains, Mt. Geumgang in North Korea. Members and students wished from the bottom of the heart for the day of peaceful unification.
