엄종식 통일부 차관 초청 제15차 통일교육포럼이 (통일교육협의회가 주최) 6월 23일 서울 가든 호텔에서 이라는 주제로 개최되었다.

포럼은 총 100여명의 사회 각계 인사가 함께 하였으며, 본 연합에서는 통일교육협의회 이사와 여성분과위원장을 책임 맡아 활동하고 있는 홍성순 부회장과 최영선 사무총장, 신기화, 송혜건 통일문화분과 공동위원장, 문신자 과장이 참석하였다.

엄종식 차관은 주제강연과 질의응답 시간을 통해 비핵화와 영.유아 등에 대한 순수 인도적 지원은 지속해 나갈 것을 밝히며, 바른 통일교육과 함께 국민통합에 협조해줄 것을 당부했다.

Attendance at the 15th Unification Education Forum

The Korean Council for Unification Education held the 15th Unification Education Forum inviting Eom Jongsik, Vice-minister of the ROK Ministry of Unification, to speak on 23 June at the Seoul Garden Hotel with the theme, "Status of Relations between South and North and Policy Direction towards North Korea."

About one hundred from all social standings attended, and there were greetings from Standing Co-chairperson Seol Youngsu, a lecture from Eom Jongsik, Vice-minister of ROK Ministry of Unification, and a commemorative photograph. From the WFWP, Vice-president Hong Seongsoon, Executive Director and Chairperson of Women Subcommittee of KCUE, SG Choi, Shin Kihwa and Song Hyegun, Unification Culture Committee Co-chairperson, and Section Chief Moon attended.

Vice-minister Eom Jongsik said, "We will try to make North Korea admit their responsibility in sinking the Cheonan and try to have them to participate in denuclearization, but we continue humanitarian aid to babies, children and pregnant women." He asked our cooperation in national integration through proper unification education.
