'다문화가족 3.8선을 넘어서'라는 주제로 통일교육 및 판문점 견학이 6월30일 경남 마산지역과 울산지역의 회원 및 다문화 가정 75명이 참석한 가운데, 통일교육협의회 지원사업으로 진행 되었다.

이날 김영희 새터민 강사의「북한 여성의 한국 정착이야기」특강은 남한에서 새로운 제2의 삶을 살아가면서, 남과 북의 문화적 차이와 이질감으로 어려웠던 새터민의 남한 생활에 대하여 알 수 있는 계기가 되었다.

또한 천안함 사태로 긴장감이 최고조에 있는 판문점 견학은 참석한 다문화 가정들에게 평화통일의 절실함을 느끼고 배울 수 있는 현장 교육이 되었다.

Korean Council for Unification Education Aid Project - Multicultural Family Beyond 38th Parallel

WFWP International HQ held a Panmunjeom Field Trip supported by the Korean Council for Unification Education with the theme "Multicultural Families Beyond the 38th Parallel," with 75 members from Gyeongnam Masan and Ulsan on June 30.

Saetomin (defector from North Korea) instructor Kim Younghui talked about her second life in South Korea which has been very tough between South and North Korea's cultural differences, with the theme "A North Korea Woman's Story of Settling in South Korea." Attendees came to know newly about the defectors’ difficult life in the ROK.

The Panmunjeom field trip was very inspirational to multicultural family attendants. Tension was at a peak around Panmunjeom due to the sinking of the South Korean naval vessel Cheonan, which had the effect of making attendants long even more for peaceful unification.
