지난 9월17일(월) ~ 9월22일(토), 롯데 프레지던트 호텔에서 개최된 에 한국지부, 일본지부와 우크라이나지부에서 14명의 임원이 여성연합을 대표로 참석하여 행사일정을 함께 했다.

세계여성단체협의회를 대상으로 열린 총회는 회원국 대표단과 각국 여성 지도자 및 한국 대표단 600명이 참석하였으며, ‘여성발전이 모두를 위한 전진’ 이라는 주제로 대회 기간 내내 워크숍과 토론 및 강연을 통해 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 노동, 인권, 환경, 교육 등 이슈가 되고 있는 사안들에 대해 여성의 시각에서 함께 논의하였으며, 여성의 힘을 모아 전 인류의 발전에 기여할 수 있는 방향을 제시하였다.

The 33rd International Council of Women (ICW) General Assembly

From September 17-22, the “33rd ICW General Assembly” was held at the Lotte Hotel, Seoul, and 15 members from the Korea, Japan and Ukraine Chapters participated in the Assembly as representatives of the WFWP.

The ICW Assembly was attended by 600 people, including delegations from member nations, women leaders from nations around the world, and Korean representatives. Under the theme “Progress for Women, Progress for All,” the participants discussed current issues from the women’s point of view, in the fields of politics, economy, society, culture, labor, human rights, environment, and education among others, in workshops, discussions and lecture sessions. They also proposed ways by which women can pool their energies and contribute towards the development of all humankind.
