서울 중랑지부(지부장:하계순)는 9월5일, 중랑구 구민회관에서 208명이 참석한 가운데 을 개최하였다.

탈북인 하나예술단의 식전 행사로 시작 된 포럼은 강정심 회원의 사회로 국민의례, 귀빈소개, 하계순 지부장(중랑지부)의 환영사, 김수자 구의장의 격려사, 박홍군 국회의원의 축사, 문난영 회장의 주제강연 순으로 진해되었다.

이날 문난영 회장은 이라는 주제로 여성의 모성애를 바탕으로 남북통일과 세계평화의 길에서 남성과 더불어 한 축을 담당해야 할 주역이 되어야 한다는 것을 강조하였다. 또한 수차례 북한 여성지도자들과 회의를 가지며 을 통해 북한의 여성과 어린이를 지원했던 활동을 소개했다.

이에  200여명의 관중이 환호하며 그동안 여성연합의 남북통일과 세계평화를 위해 이루어 놓은 활동을 보면서 깜짝 놀랐다고 전했다.

이날 참석한 새터민들은 탈북인모임인 ‘이북5도’ 모임에 문난영 회장의 초청강연을 요청하였으며, 중랑지부는 지역 새터민들을 대상으로 원리교육과 함께 남북통일과 세계평화를 만들어 나가겠다는 게획을 전하며 지역 활동에 대한 계획을 전했다.  

21st C Women Leaders Forum Hosted in the Joongrang Branch, Seoul

The Joongrang Branch of Seoul (Branch Leader: Gye Soon Ha) hosted the 21st C Women Leaders Forum on September 5 at the Joongrang-gu Assembly Hall, which was attended by 208 local residents.

The Forum began with a pre-event performance given by the Hana Art Troupe, made up of North Korean defectors and was emceed by Jeong Shim Gang. It commenced with the Korean Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the introduction of VIPs, a welcoming address given by Branch Leader Gye Soon Ha, a speech of encouragement from Chairman Soo Ga Kim of the district, a congratulatory address given by National Assemblyman Hong Gun Park, and a keynote speech by President Lan Young Moon.

On this day, President Moon’s speech entitled “The Path to the Unification of North and South Korea and World Peace” emphasized that, on the path to the reunification of North and South, women should take responsibility for one axis based on maternal love, while men should take responsibility for the other. She told the participants how the WFWP has been supporting the women and children of North Korea by holding conferences on numerous occasions with North Korean women leaders and also through the 1% Love Share Project.

The audience of over 200 people applauded the activities performed and achieved by the WFWP until now for the reunification of North and South Korea and world peace.

The New Settlers who attended the Forum invited President Lan Young Moon to come and speak at ‘Ibukodo,’ a meeting of North Korean defectors, and the Joongrang Branch announced their plans for local activities, one of which is to hold Divine Principle workshops for the New Settlers living in the district, to pave the way together towards the reunification of North and South Korea and world peace.
