4월23일 밀양지부는(지부장:길금수)는 농협예식장에서 지역지도자 97명을 모시고 21C여성지도자포럼을 열었다.

이날은 모노 마유미 회원의 사회를 시작으로 길금수 지부장(밀양시)의 환영사, 김순필 시의원(밀양시)의 축사, 김자윤 지부장(경남 도)의 격려사, 축하공연, 라는 주제로 문난영 회장의 강연이 이어졌다.

농번기를 맞이하면서 준비한 포럼이어서 지역의 많은 여성지도자들이 참석을 못한 아쉬운 점도 있었으나 이번 포럼은 세계평화여성연합이 한국의 여성단체로서 세계적 UN활동을 하고 있는 여성단체임을 알릴 수 있었다.

참석자들은 여성연합의 전 세계 활동에 대하여 놀라워하며 감동을 받았다고 소감을 전했으며 동참할 기회가 있었으면 한다고 말했다.

The 21st C Women Leaders Forum in the Milyang Branch, South Gyeongsang Province

On April 23, the Milyang Branch (Branch Leader: Geum Soo Gil) hosted the 21st C Women Leaders Forum at the Nonghyup Wedding Hall, attended by 97 regional leaders.

The Forum was emceed by WFWP member, Mrs. Mayumi Mono, and Branch Leader Geum Soo Gil (Milyang) gave the welcoming address, which was followed by a congratulatory address by City Councilman Soon Pil Kim (Milyang), words of encouragement given by Branch Leader Ja Yoon Kim (South Gyeongsang Province), a congratulatory performance, and a lecture by President Lan Young Moon titled “A World of Peace With Humanity As One Family.”

The Forum was held in the busy farming season and so many regional leaders could not attend, which was truly regrettable. Through the Forum, however, the participants came to understand that the WFWP is a women’s organization that is carrying out UN-related activities worldwide.

The participants were amazed and impressed by the global activities of the WFWP, and they hoped that they would get an opportunity to take part in these activities as well.
