지난 11월 7일 광주 전남 순천, 서순천지부는 순천문화예술회관 소극장에서 지역주민 120명이 함께한 가운데 ‘인류 한가족 평화세계’라는 주제로 을 개최하였다.

마쯔모또 사나에 지부장(서순천 지부)의 사회로 개회를 선언하였으며 다문화합창단(순천`서순천지부)의 축송, 오까루 미꼬 지부장(순천지부)의 환영사, 정병휘 의장(시의회)과 허병주 전 총재(국제로타리)의 축사, 손숙희 도지부장(광주 전남)의 격려사, 문난영 회장의 주제강연 순으로 진행 되었다.

문난영 회장은 “소통과 화합을 지향하는 21C를 이끄는 변화의 주역은 단연 여성이며, 지구촌의 분쟁지역과 갈등 더불어 한국의 미래 통일을 준비가 필요하다.” 고 강조했다.

Gwangju, Jeonnam Suncheon Branch, West Suncheon Branch

The Gwangju Jeonnam Suncheon Branch and the West Suncheon Branch hosted a 21st Century Women Leaders Forum with the theme, "Humankind is One Family in a Peaceful World". More than 120 local people participated in the Forum which was held in the Suncheon Culture & Arts Hall.

The Forum opened with greetings from West Suncheon Branch Director Matsumoto Sanae, followed by music from the multicultural choir of the West Suncheon Branch. The Director of the Suncheon Branch, Okaru Miko, gave a welcoming address which was followed by congratulatory remarks by Hur Byoung-ju of the International Rotary Club, and a speech by Provincial Director Son Sook-hee (Gwangju Jeonnam). A presentation by President Moon Lan-young made the forum even more meaningful.

President Moon reiterated the importance of women's role in society: "Women are the main actors in the 21st century, where communication and harmony are required, so we need to prepare ourselves to help with the reunification of Korea and to resolve the lingering conflicts in the world.”
