지난 11월 15일 강남구민회관에서 열린 ‘서울시 자치구 여성단체연합협의회 총회’에서 본 연합 문난영 회장의 초청 강연이 있었다.

이날 행사는 서울시 25개구 자치구 여성단체 회장 및 임원 500명이 함께한 가운데 신연희 강남구청장의 인사말, 이종구 국회의원(강남), 이혜훈 국회의원(서초)의 축사, 문난영 회장의 초청 강연 순으로 진행되었다.

문난영 회장은 라는 주제로 참석한 여성임원들에게 본 연합의 전 세계적 활동을 소개하였으며, “사랑의 중심은 어머니이며 그 어머니의 사랑은 가난이나 질병, 갈등과 전쟁을 극복하고 치유하는 원동력이다” 라고 전했다.

이에 많은 참석자들은 세계를 무대로 활동하고 있는 여성연합의 활동에 대해 깊은 감동을 받았으며 큰 박수로 화답을 보냈다.

Invitational speech by President Moon Lan-young at women's seminar, Seoul Federation of Women's Organization

President Moon Lan-young was invited to give an invitational speech for the grand conference of Seoul Federation of Women's Organization at Gangnam Resident's Hall on November 15th.

About 500 presidents and staff members of women organizations from 25 Districts in Seoul participated in the event. Mr. Shin Yeon-hee, head of Gangnam district office gave the welcome address. Congressman (Gangnam Gab) Lee Jonggu and another city congressman gave congratulatory speeches followed by an invitational speech by president Moon Lan-young, entitled, "Women power will change the world." She introduced WFWP's global activities to the participants. She added, "The center of love is mothers, and the love of mothers is the motivation to heal and overcome the difficulties from poverty, disease, conflict, and war."

Participants were impressed by the WFWP's global activities and applauded with candor.
