지난 5월 18일 강원도 삼척지부는 신동아 웨딩홀에서 지역주민 150명을 모신 가운데 을 개최했다.

식전행사 공연으로 지역 ‘색소폰 동우회’의 공연과 회원들이 준비한 ‘난타’로 이날의 포럼을 축하하며 시작되었다.

히가시 히로꼬 지부장(삼척시)의 사회, 조선숙 부지부장(강원도)의 환영사, 정진권 의원(삼척시)의 축사, 손혜숙 지부장(강원도)의 격려사가 있었으며, 어려운 지역주민들에게 쌀 을 전달하는 시간으로 ‘사랑의 나눔 전달식’도 있었다.

포럼에서 문난영 회장은 라는 주제로 여성연합의 전 세계의 해외활동을 소개하면서 다시 한번 여성의 파워를 느낄 수 있게 했다.

삼척지부는 “이번 포럼을 계기로 지역 다문화 상담소 개설과 한일문화교류회를 통하여 지역 활동을 활성화에 노력하겠다“ 고 전했다.

Gangwon-do Samcheok Branch 21C Women Leaders Forum

Gangwon-do Samcheok Branch held a 21C Women Leaders Forum on May 18, at Shindonga Wedding Hall.

It started with some congratulation performances, a performance from a local saxophone club, and a percussion performance.

Branch Manager Higashi Hiroko (Samcheok) was MC, Vice Branch Manager Jo Sun-sook (Gangwon-do) gave welcoming remarks, Member of the National Assembly Jung Jin-gwon (Samcheok-si) gave congratulatory remarks, Branch Manager Son Hye-sook (Gangwon-do) gave words of encouragement. Then there was time to deliver rice to local needy people.

Pres. Moon gave a speech with theme "Humankind as One Family and World Peace," and introduced WFWP's worldwide activities so participants could share the women's power through the forum.

Samcheok Branch said they will do more activity by setting up a local multi-culture counseling center and a Korea-Japan Cultural Exchange Committee.
