3월 24일 오후 서울 용산구 효창동 백범기념관에서 이 열린 가운데 본 연합 최영선 사무총장이 통일부 장관상을 수상하였다.

이날 행사는 이승환 위원장의 사회, 김덕룡 대표 상임의장(민화협)의 대회사, 현인택 장관(통일부)의 축사 및 표창 수여식, 어쿠스틱밴드의 축하공연, 대의원대회로 진행되었으며, 표창 수여는 모범적 통일 활동을 전개하고 있는 2개 단체와 개인 10명에게 수여되었다.

본 연합의 최영선 사무총장은 민화협 여성위원장 역임과 더불어 지난 15년간 여성 통일운동과 여성단체와의 교류 등 그 실적과 공로를 인정받아 통일부장관상을 수상하게 되었다.

WFWP SG Choi Young-sun Receives the Minister of Unification Award

On March 24, 2011, the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation (KCRC) Representative General Meeting and Award Ceremony of the ROK Minister of Unification Award was held at Kim Koo Museum, Hyochang-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and our SG Choi Young-sun received the Minister of Unification Award.

Chairperson Lee Seung-hwan was MC, KCRC Representative Standing Chairperson Kim Deok-ryong gave the opening speech, and Unification Minister Hyun In-taek's offered congratulatory remarks before the presentation ceremony. An acoustic Band gave a celebration performance, and there was a general meeting of representatives. The awards were presented to two organizations and ten individuals who were exemplary figures in activities for North-South unification.

Our HQ SG Choi Young-sun served as a KCRC Women Chairperson and also has worked for North-South unification and exchanges with other women’s groups; her efforts and contribution were well recognized that led to her being awarded by the Minister of Unification.
