대구지부(지부장:조순선)는 지난 4월 6일 2014 특성화사업인 사물놀이가 다문화가정의 역량강화를 주제로 개강하였다.


이날 개회식은 송인영 교구장과 조순선지부장(대구시) 및 회원들을 모신 가운데 교육관에서 진행되었다. 다문화 가정 자녀에게 올바른 전통문화를 계승함과 통일기원 사물놀이를 통해 통일에 대한 관심을 끌어내고자 기획되었으며 학생들과 성인 회원 30여명이 교육에 참석한다.


사물놀이 교육은 성복국악원장이며 동원중학교 방과후 지도교사로 사물놀이 강사 1급 자격증을 보유하고 경기민요전수자 57호인 최수령 선생님을 강사로 모신 가운데 2014년 4월 ~ 10월까지 진행하게 된다.

The Daegu Branch 2014 Branch-Specialized Project: Playing Korean Traditional Instruments (Samulnori) to Empowering Multicultural Families


Daegu Branch (Branch Leader: Soon Seon Cho) began a class for learning how to play Korean traditional instruments (Samulnori), under the theme of Empowering multicultural families, on April 6, as a part of their 2014 branch-specialized project.


The opening ceremony held on this day was held at the education hall, attended by Regional Church Leader In Yeong Song, Branch Leader Soon Seon Cho (Daegu), and branch members. The class was planned with the intention of correctly bestowing the traditional culture of Korea to children of multicultural families, and heightening their interest in unification by playing Samulnori as a supplication for unification, and more than thirty students and adult members are taking part in the program.


The Samulnori class is being taught by Soo Ryeong Choi, who is the chairperson of the Seongbok Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts and an after school teacher at Dongwon Middle School, and who has a class one certification to teach Samulnori and is the 57th Initiate of Gyeonggi Province folk songs, and the class will be held from April to October of 2014.
