인천지부는(지부장:김보경) 지난 12월2일 한중문화관에서 ‘2012 다문화가정 송년축제 및 강한 대한민국 강연회’를 ‘다문화 가족과 함께 하는 나라 사랑’이란 주제로 개최했다.

인천시청, 구청, 기업, 방송국 등에 세계평화여성연합에 대한 홍보와 초대장을 보냈으며 각 지부장과 회원들이 힘을 모아 열심히 준비해 온 이번 축제에, 250명 넘는 분들이 참석하여 함께 감동을 나누었다.

이날 행사는 김옥주 기대장의 사회로 개회되었으며 김보경 지부장(인천)의 환영사, 이상열 교구장(인천)의 격려사, 권중광 전 구청장(인천시 서구)의 축사, 김승석 부교구장(인천)의 주제강연이 있었으며 2부 문화공연에서 ‘하나가사온도’ 공연, 독창, 다문화가정으로 구성된 ‘아주’풍물단의 사물놀이, 합기도 시연, 피날레 합창 순으로 진행되었다.

인천지부는 이번 행사 지역에 홍보하여 여성연합의 창립정신과 세계에서 펼쳐 온 활동들을 많이 알리며 ‘지구가족사랑 1%운동’에 동참하도록 적극 유도하고자 한다. 또한 지역에서 활동한 실적을 시청과 구청에 제출해서 사회단체 등록을 추진하려고 한다.

Incheon Branch - Multicultural Families’ Year-end Festival and Strong Korea Speech Meeting

The Incheon Branch (Branch Leader: Bo Gyeong Kim) held the ‘Multicultural Families’ Year-end Festival 2012 and Strong Korea Speech Meeting’ on December 2 under the title of ‘Sharing the Love for Our Country with Multicultural Families’.

They sent out invitations and PR materials about the Women’s Federation for World Peace to the Incheon municipal office, the district offices, businesses and broadcasting stations, and branch leaders of the city and members pooled their efforts to make preparations for the event. As a result, the Festival was attended by more than 250 people, and all participants were deeply impressed.

The event was opened by the emcee, Chief Secretary Ok Joo Kim, and Branch Leader Bo Gyeong Kim (Incheon) gave the welcoming address, Regional Leader Sang Yeol Lee (Incheon) gave words of encouragement, former District Office Chief Joong Gwang Gwon (Western Incheon) delivered the congratulatory address, and Deputy Regional Leader Seung Seok Kim (Incheon) gave the keynote address. Cultural performances were given in the second part of the event, including a performance by ‘Hanagasa-ondo’, a vocal solo, a Samulnori (a Korean traditional percussion quartet) performance by the ‘Aju’ Samulnori Team, made up of multicultural families, a demonstration of Hapgido, and the finale chorus.

Through this event, the Incheon Branch hopes to acquaint the residents of their region with the founding spirit and worldwide activities of the WFWP, and encourage the residents to participate in the ‘1% Love Share Project’. Moreover, they plan to submit the results of their activities in the region to the municipal office and the district office, so that they can be registered as a social organization.
