지난 5월29일 천복궁지부(지부장:최연아)는 천복궁지부 여성연합과 천복궁 여성회가 함께 합동 바자회를 개최했다.

이날은 천복궁지부에 속한 서울의 8개 구(동작, 서초, 마포, 서대문, 성동, 용산, 종로, 중구지부)회원들은 뜨거운 햇볕 아래서 모금을 위한 기쁜 마음으로 봉사를 해주었다.

떡복이와 잔치국수는 준비한 재료가 동이 날 정도로 인기가 좋았으며, 아나바다(아껴쓰고, 나눠쓰고, 바꿔쓰고, 다시쓰는) 코너 중 웨스턴 멤버들에게 가장 인기가 있었던 한복 코너는 매진이 되기도 했다.

또한 몽골회원은 몽골에 있는 가족들에게 보내겠다며 많은 옷을 구입하기도 했으며, 지역 주민과 학생들의 관심을 받았던 중고 기타 코너도 인기가 좋은 품목이었다. 특히 중고지만 A/S 서비스 가능이라는 말에 바자회를 찾은 지역 주민들은 무척 많은 관심을 가졌다.

이번 바자회를 준비하면서 회원들이 광고 전단지를 배포하여선지 지역 사람들의 관심을 끌었으며, 타 지역에서도 천복지부의 바자회에 많은 관심을 갖고 찾아주기도 했다.

더운 날씨로 몸은 지치고 고된 하루였지만 관심과 사랑을 나눌 수 있는 시간으로 마감하였다.

천복궁지부는 이날의 바자회를 통해 거둔 수익금 일부를 기금으로 전달할 예정이다.

Cheonbokgung Branch Bazaar

WFWP Cheonbokgung Branch and the Women’s Evangelical Association held a joint bazaar on May 29.

Many members attended as willing volunteers under the hot sun.

Ddeokbokgi (rice cakes in hot sauce) and banquet noodle soup were so popular they all sold out, and traditional Korean hanbok clothing were also very popular especially with Western members and also sold out.

Also, a Mongolian member purchased many clothes to send to her family in Mongolia. Used guitars were also popular with some local residents and students.

The members prepared and gave out PR brochures to local residents and to other town before the bazaar so many were interested and visited the bazaar site.

It was very hot weather but they shared interests and loved one another.
