외국인 지부는 결혼 생활에 새로운 변화가 필요한 여성들을 대상으로 이라는 주제로 5주간의 세미나를 개최하였다.

헬렌 앤들린 작가가 지은 ‘매력적인 여성’ 이라는 책과 ‘당신이 원하는 사랑을 얻는 10가지 비밀이란 ’글을 토대로 수잔 올레튠지 회원과 로빈 데베커 회장이 세미나를 주관하였으며, 매주 참석자들에게는 배운 내용을 실천하도록 숙제와 해결과제를 주는 방식으로 진행이 되었다.

9월 4일부터 10월 2일까지 매주 토요일 아침마다 진행된 세미나에는 23명의 여성들이 참석 하였으며, 참석한 여성들 서로가 각자의 상황을 공유하고 지지하면서 좀 더 돈독한 우정을 다지게 되었다. 또한 이번 세미나를 계기로 여성연합의 새로운 회원으로 가입하게 된 여성도 있다고 전했다.

앞으로 외국인 지부는 세미나에 이어 부부를 대상으로 하여 마크 군골이 제작한 ‘웃어라 결혼생활을 통한 당신의 길’ 이라는 비디오를 가지고 워크숍을 진행할 계획이다.

The International Women in Korea (IWK) Branch of WFWP in Seoul completed a 5-week Fascinating Womanhood seminar for women interested in transforming themselves and their marriages. Content was based on the book Fascinating Womanhood, by Helen Andelin, and included 10 secrets for getting the love you want. Presenters were Snezhana Olatunji and Robin Debacker, who gave the women homework assignments to practice each week. A total of 23 women participated in the course, which met every Saturday morning from Sept. 4 until October 2. One guest who was particularly moved decided to join as a new member of WFWP. The sharing and support of other women was an important part of the experience, and our friendships have deepened. Our next plan is to host a workshop for couples based on the Laugh Your Way through Marriage videos of Mark Gungor.
