5월 21일, 통일교육협의회 후원, 본 연합 주최로 2013 도란도란통일기행이 ‘다가오는 통일을 준비하며!’ 라는 주제로 분단현장 견학이 진행되었다.

경남지역 지도자 40여명이 함께한 통일기행은 먼저 새터민 김영희 수석연구원(한국정책금융공사)의 ‘남북한의 생활무엇이 다른가?’ 라는 주제로 북한의 실생활과 새터민의 남한사회 정착생활을 알아보는 시간을 가졌다. 이후 분단현장인 판문점과 도란산역, 도라전망대를 견학하는 시간을 가졌다.

통일기행은 분단현장 견학과 함께 새터민 강사로부터 북한의 현실을 직시해보며, 다가오는 통일조국을 어떻게 준비할 것인지를 생각해보는 계기를 만들고 있다.

2013 Doran Doran Unification Trip: ‘Preparing for the Approaching Unification!’ Field Trip to the Site of Division

On May 21, the 2013 Doran Doran Unification Trip was held in the form of a field trip to the site of the division of Korea under the title ‘Preparing for the Approaching Unification!’, sponsored by the Unification Education Council and hosted by the WFWP.

The Unification Trip, attended by more than forty leaders from South Gyeongsang Province, was begun with a talk titled ‘What is the Difference Between Life in South Korea and Life in North Korea?’ given by Senior Researcher Yeong Hee Kim (Korea Finance Corporation), a New Settler (a North Korean defector). The participants had a chance to learn about real life in North Korea and the life of the New Settlers as they come to settle in South Korean society. Afterwards, they visited Pan Mun Jeom, the site of the division of Korea, the Doran Mountain Station, and Dora Observatory.

The Unification Trip is providing an opportunity for the participants to take a field trip to the site of division and, at the same time, to face the reality of North Korea based on what they learn from a New Settler speaker, and to think about how they should prepare for the approaching unification of the fatherland.
