강원 양구지부(지부장:김영숙)는 지난 3월29일 양구 문화복지센터에서 양구 부군수, 도의원, 여성단체장 등 200명이 참석한 가운데 21C지도자초청포럼을 개최하였다.

기쿠히라 지호 회원의 사회로 시작된 포럼은 축하하는 식전행사로 전통소리 보존회 민요와 기타연, 미리내 색스폰 앙상블 합주단의 공연이 있었다.

이후 ‘여성의 힘으로 이루는 평화세계’ 라는 주제로 열린 포럼은 김영숙 지부장 사회로 귀빈소개, 정철수 회장(양구평화대사협의회)의 환영사, 정길례 회장(전 여성단체장)의 축사, 박선희 지부장(강원도)의 격려사, 주제강연 순으로 진행되었다.

주제강연에서 문난영 회장은 세계 각국의 여성연합 활동 보고와 더불어 “지금은 여성시대이다. 이 시대를 이끌어갈 여성이 지도자가 되기를 바란다.”고 말했다.

21st C Women Leaders Forum in the Yanggu Branch, Gangwon Province

The Yanggu Branch (Branch Leader: Yeong Sook Kim) of Gangwon Province hosted the 21st C Leaders Invitational Forum on March 29 at the Yanggu Culture Welfare Center, which was attended by more than 200 participants, including the Deputy Magistrate of Yanggu, members of the Provincial Assembly, and many heads of women’s organizations.

A pre-forum event was held to celebrate the Forum, emceed by member Chiho Kikuhara, in which the Korean Traditional Songs Preservation Association sang Korean folk songs; also, guitar performances were given and the Mirinae Saxophone Ensemble Team played.

Afterwards, the Forum was held under the title, ‘A World of Peace Realized through the Strength of Women’, emceed by Branch Leader Yeong Sook Kim. It opened with an introduction of the VIPs, which was followed by a welcoming address given by President Cheol Soo Jeong (Yanggu Ambassadors for Peace Association), a congratulatory address delivered by Chairperson Gil Rye Jeong (former head of a women’s organization give the correct name of her organization), words of encouragement given by Branch Leader Seon Hee Park (Gangwon Province), and the keynote speech.

In her keynote speech, President Lan Young Moon introduced the activities of the WFWP in various nations across the world and stated, “This is the era of women. I hope you will become women leaders who can lead this era.”
