1월 7일, 세계평화여성연합은 전국 140명의 간부들이 모인 가운데 2013년을 시작하는 신년하례회를 가졌다.

최영선 사무총장의 사회로 시작한 이날 신년하례회는 새해를 축하하는 떡 커팅과 박미화 중앙위원 회장의 건배제의가 있었다.

문난영 회장은 신년인사를 통해 "2013년을 맞이하며 사생결단! 전력투구! 실천궁행! 하는 우리의 모습이 돼야겠다."라고 말하며 여성연합 활동에 최선을 다해 줄 것을 당부했다.

이어 12월 본부 및 지부활동보고와 2013년 계획하고 있는 세계여성평화네트워크(GWPN), 21C 여성지도자포럼과 동지부장 교육 및 통일교육, 지부특성화사업 공모에 대한 내용으로 토의가 진행되었다.

2013 New Year’s Ceremony

WFWP held its 2013 New Year’s Ceremony on January 7, which was attended by 140 Korean executive officers nationwide.

The Ceremony, emceed by Secretary-General Young Sun Choi, included a rice-cake cutting to celebrate the New Year and a toast led by Chairperson Mi Hwa Park of the Central Committee.

In her new year’s greetings, President Lan Young Moon asked the members to do their best in carrying out WFWP activities, saying, “As we usher in the year 2013, we should make a life-or-death resolution, devote all our energies, and practice what we believe in!”

Next, reports of the activities of the Headquarters and local branches in December were given, followed by a discussion of the plans for 2013, including the hosting of the 2nd Global Women’s Peace Network Assembly, the 21stC Women Leaders’ Forum, the education of Dong branch leaders and the Unification Workshop, and a collection of ideas for specialized branch projects.
