2011년 세계평화여성연합 제12차 세계지도자워크숍이 라는 주제로 10월 29일~11월1일, 3박4일의 일정으로 19개국 300명이 참석한 가운데 청평 청심국제청소년수련원에서 개최되었다.

세계지도자 워크숍 개회는 릴리 린 회장(아시아 대륙)의 사회로 시작되었으며 문난영 세계회장은 개회사를 통해 “임박한 섭리의 결실기, 천일국 기원절을 생각하며 초창기의 열정을 가지고 섭리의 현장에서 최선을 다하는 여성 지도자가 되자”고 말했다.

또한 최연아 세계부회장은 “2012년 20주년을 맞는 시점에서 우리가 배운 경험을 바탕으로 평화세계를 위한 새로운 도약을 준비하자. 또한 총재님의 사랑과 가르침을 마음 깊이 느끼고 새겨서 참된 평화 사상과 평화의 전통을 세계에 전하기 위한 원동력과 희망을 더하는 12차 워크숍의 귀한 시간이 되길 바란다”고 환영인사를 전했다.

박근령 고문은 축사를 통해 “ 전 세계에서 한국을 찾아 준 전 세계 임원과 회원들을 환영하고, 뜻 깊은 자리에 동참하게 된 것에 감사하며, 많은 것을 배우고 느끼는 시간이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

이후 원로 선배이신 강정원 회장의 개회 특강으로 진행 되었다.

둘째 날, 총재님과 함께한 천정궁 훈독회는 참석자들에게 가장 행복한 시간이 되었으며 이후 각 대륙별로 2011년 활동 보고와 더불어 2012년 활동 계획 발표와 대륙별 토론의 시간을 가졌다.

셋째 날에는 한국의 옛 전통가옥과 한국의 가장 유명한 여성인 신사임당의 자취를 알아보는 한국문화체험으로 강원도 강릉선교장과 오죽헌을 방문하였다. 또한 용평 리조트에서 오찬을 즐기며 함께한 참석자들의 작은 공연과 곤돌라를 타고 발왕산에 올라보며 한국의 가을을 만끽했다.

마지막 날, 폐회식은 케롤린 핸신 회장(유럽 대륙)의 사회로 대륙별 토론회를 통해 정리 되어진 2012년 활동 계획과 12차 워크숍의 참석 소감을 발표하였다. 이어서 문난영 회장은 폐회 특강으로 전 세계 임원과 회원들에게 ‘천일국 섭리의 여성사도 행전을 만듭시다’라는 주제로 말씀을 전하며 3박 4일의 모든 일정을 마감하였다.

이번 워크숍은 2012년 3월에 개최 될 본 연합의 창립 20주년을 기념하여를 준비하며 세계임원회의를 통해 실행위원회을 구성하고 세계평화 실현을 위한 UN의 세계인권선언과 ‘MDGs’(새천년개발목표)를 성취하기 위한 구체적 활동 방향과 아젠다를 논의하기도 했다.

The 12th WFWP International Leaders Workshop

The 12th WFWPI Workshop 2011, was held with the theme “A Global Women’s Peace Network,” 29 October to 1 November at Cheonga Camp in Cheongpyeong with some 300 participants from 19 countries.

The opening session was emceed by IVP Lily Lin of Asia. WFWPI President Lan Young Moon said in her congratulatory remarks, “We should remember that the Foundation Day of the Kingdom of God on earth is imminent and women leaders should do our best on the front line with passion.”

Prof. Choi Yeon Ah, vice president, said in her welcome speech, “The year 2012 we celebrate WFWP’s 20th anniversary; we should prepare ourselves to make another leap for world peace, in the hope that this 12th workshop will generate power and hope to convey the tradition of peace to the world.”

Advisor Park Geun-ryung, in her remarks, said she was honored to participate in the workshop, and shared how inspired she was with her relationship with WFWP. A special lecture by an elder and WFWP standing member of director, Mrs. Kang Jeong-won was shared.

The second day, beginning with the Cheonjeong Palace hoondokhae with the founders was a very special time for all participants. Following it, continental representatives gave powerpoint reports on annual activities of 2011 and plans for 2012. They also had a time for active discussion by region.

On the third day, we took a field trip to Gangneung Sungyojang and Ohzukhun to tour traditional houses and sites of Korea and learn about a most famous woman artist of Korea, Shinsaimdang. We enjoyed luncheon at the Yongpyong Resort and were entertained by performances of participants. Korea's fall season was magnificent, seen from the cable car ride in the Resort.

On the last day, the closing session was led by IVP Carolyn Handschin of Europe. Discussions by each region were summarized and inspiring reflections by representative participants were shared. President Moon gave closing remarks encouraging all to develop their own Acts of the Apostles.

In the Board of Directors meeting following the Workshop, a proposal for the 20th anniversary of WFWP to be held in Korea in March 2012 was presented, and the wonderful 4-day program came to an end.
